Ex-Washington State star wide receiver Marquess Wilson has just a slightly different version of the events that led to his departure from the Cougars this week. In a statement issued Sunday, Wilson alleged that head coach Mike Leach and his staff are subjecting his players to "physical, emotional and verbal abuse," causing him to leave Wazzu. Earlier this week, Leach announced that Wilson had been suspended indefinitely.

Anyone who has ever played football on the College, or High School level has had a coach get in their face and scream at the top of their lungs. It is definitely verbal abuse and at times emotional abuse and it's football. How does a kid get this far and not understand that. If you cannot take it, then take a pottery class and grow some pansies.

Of course Leach is a target because of his prior record.

Wilson is full of shite.

Trust me coaches have power in the NFL, but not like what Leach is being accused of. NFL coaches don't have that kind of control over the players. It certainly would not fly with the NFLPA.

Looks like the guys at Wazzu had it easy the last few years and now are crumbling at the sight of some tough coaching. If Wilson thinks Leach is tough, wait until he gets to the NFL.
