The Miami Hurricanes have named their new locker room after alum Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. In October of 2007, former Hurricanes football player donated $1 million to the Football Facilities Renovation Fund, which was the biggest donation from a former Miami athlete the school had ever received.

Steve Walsh, Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar, Michael Irvin, Warren Sapp, Edgerrin James, Vinny Testaverde ... all Miami Hurricanes who have made millions in the NFL ... and the former player who made the biggest donation EVER to the school from a former athlete was THE ROCK?!?! A player who didn't even make his fortune in the NFL (he only played in the CFL), but in the WWF/WWE/WCW and Hollywood?

Those other guys should be ashamed.

Program hit rock bottom a while back. They may be in a BCS bowl this year as they are co-favorites to win the ACC.

Kinda crazy that it's the biggest donation from a former athlete. There have been some big names out of there.
