It was absolutely intentional and I agree that is was very impressive. I don't understand how that knocked the guy out though. You can't get much leverage and force when contorted like that and he didn't use the blunt end of his elbow. It was the top flat part above the elbow that made contact (see last video). Still impressive though.

Using your opponent's momentum against him generates exponentially more power than you could ever generate with your own punch. While it doesn't take much power when the dude is bull rushing with all him momentum, the elbow landed flush on the chin.
