That wasn't a fighting move. That was just out to kill. That is why it was illegal and is illegal in the MMA. It isn't hard to try a kill shot on someone if it is there to take. But that isn't sport, that is something different. Coming from this known sleaze bag I'm not surprised.

It should be illegal, when they are down its far too easy to pull off with devastating results. Not really a fair way to fight.

UFC doesn’t allow kneeing of a downed opponent. Some Other organizations do.

Kneeing someone in the face while they’re on the ground is “legit”? It’s a crappy thing to do fighting someone in the street, let alone in a professional fight.
