Lane Kiffin Has An Interesting Prediction About Bama/Saban's QB Situation
© Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports
The question that Nick Saban will hear for the next few months over and over again will be: "Who's your starting QB, Jalen Hurts or Tua Tagovailoa?". Lane Kiffin chimed in on Thursday with his prediction of the situation. And it kind of makes sense...

Agree? Who do you think will be Bama's starting QB?

Saban will do whatever it takes for his own benefit. he doesn't give a damn about ANY player unless it somehow benefits him.

I've said that many times! Saban hoards the best players in the country to win titles for his own benefit! He doesn't prepare them for the NFL tho. Guys like Julio Jones are freaks of nature! Guys like that were going to be stars regardless of what school they attend. But look at how many 1st rounders that Bama has had that didn't survive thier rookie deal. That's why it boggles my mind why these top players go to Bama. They should consider schools that will help them polish thier skill set, prepare them for NFL longevity, as well as get them drafted high. That doesn't necessarily have to be LSU, but LSU has been the school, with the most players on NFL rosters for quite a few years now. Food for thought...

Some players like to win, if you going to go the league no matter what then you might as well pile up rings before you go.

He might play Hurts a little in the first game(if Mac Jones doesn't win the 2nd spot) but that's gonna be it. Hurts could be a good fit somewhere but it's gotta be a situation that relies on his running. It needs to be a lesser program. G5 most likely. It won't do him any good to transfer just to sit there too. See Cooper Bateman, David Cornwell, Alec Morris, Barnes, Blake Barnett. I think Phillip Ely ended up at Toledo or something and played.

I'd put money that Lane is recruiting Hurts big time and is throwing that out there to help lure in Hurts... Wouldn't be a bad move for Hurts, in my opinion.

Funny how you never hear any other former bama coaches still giving their two cents about Bama o wait their actually coaching big programs they don't have that kind of time

I disagree. According to Gary Danielson, who attended practices last year, everyone knew LAST year that Tua was better, and that affected Jalen's play. You can't continue pretending when everyone in the whole football complex knows who the best QB is. I think he'll announce Tua as the starter before game 1 in part because I think he feels confident in Mac Jones

Who gives a frick? All I know is we have a proven regular season winning QB and a proven NC winning QB. Great problem to have. How many other SEC teams even can say they have either? Only a few.

I promise you that Jalen gets to play in five games this year

They should move Hurts to RB or LB.

The new 4 games and still get a redshirt could be a huge deal for Hurts.

Hurts will start and play the entire first series.

Bottom line, the one thinking of leaving, that will graduate and be eligible anywhere he wants after December, is Hurts. So to keep hurts, saban will be dishonest and not say who the starter is...and the starter is Tua, period Only a dumb frick thinks Tua isnt the starter and a better all around QB. Hurts is a winner though, pure and simple

As a Bama fan, we're just being cautious. We realize that Tua's sample size is really only 1/2 of a football game. He could start the Louisville game and throw 3 picks. Why wouldn't we be cautious with it?

Drown, I hear ya. But yall want his brother as well, right? Hurts is a great man and a damn strong player. Hes not a great overall qb, but has his strengths. I guess I'm being unfair but all reports last year stated that even in practice, Tua was much much sharper. What's Saban to do? He lives Hurts, but has a job to play the best at every position
