re: RS last night

thanks for bringing this up...there has to be a better way for us to get the ball in sheppard's hands... at least fake the hand off and dump it over the middle...we should hardly ever see a play when RS touches the balls and we net -6...

good point...I don't see JJ progressing anytime soon and our schedule is about to get rough...

well if that's the case and we're willing to sacrifice one of the best DBs in the country...let PP take the snaps and bench Jefferson. Hard to believe he couldn't do better....

It's really a shame when PP has an opportunity to continue a special season only for it to be in jeapordy b/c dumbass has a brain fart and decides to let him play on offense. This also means he will cramp up and miss snaps on defense/possibly kick returns. Way to go coach....find another way to ...

not to mention that leslie constantly says he will get Lee into the game....and never does! every radio show...same shite... and please don't refer to the one series you let Lee hand the ball off...get real i can't do anything about leslie sticking with Jefferson. It's his decision..not mine....
I wish it was simple as your question states. There's not much that he IS doing well so the issue is Jefferson in general. He's staring down his receivers, he's looking to run as soon as he drops back, and he's been inaccurate with simple short passes. I'm not trying to pile on JJ. I've seen him...
completely agree with you...holliday was over-utilized in my opinion 90% of his tv time during the games were due to highlight clips of him running on the track team...

(deep breath) i think we have a chance at beating houston nutt this year you're right...that kinda felt good...
completely agree! Nebraska was the first situation that comes to mind for me... Think about this one....look at Miami's record the years following coker's departure!...
is he really that bad? i ask b/c i've muted the TV for our last 2 games and listened to Hawthorn......
From some of the talk around here you would think coaches would be lining up to come to a school that fires a coach after he wins no less that 8 games a year.
I agree...expectations are a little crazy in BR these days......
all i'm saying is that when comparing his recruiting ability to actually coaching up and handling his talent...i believe he's a much better recruiter i agree with you...our defense IS badass and our speed is ridiculous don't mistaken me for one of the les bashers that thinks we should fire him...
yea he can recruit...actually it seems like he can recruit with the best...but his coaching abilities are lacking...
at least no one can knock JJ after this game
why is that? JJ definitely stepped up his game from last week and I'm happy for him. He's taken a lot of criticism over the last week, deservedly so, and he showed up with a better effort. However...we're not out of the woods yet. Toni...
my new cosmo comes in the mail tomorrow...i'll let you know what they think works best...

re: Championship caliber

championship caliber? maybe... bad arse? definitely i agree...this defense plays like they want it...let's hope the offense can become mediocre and move the ball occasionally so the defense can rest...

re: Does espn hate our Tigers?

Posted by saltyytiger on 9/14/10 at 3:42 am
I think hate is a strong word. Gameday was at our season opener and ESPNU picked up the Vandy game. Not to mention we have numerous others being nationally televised this season upcoming. I understand what you're saying but I'd say damn the highlights. We're getting plenty of national exposure....
i'm definitely not confident that miles will work this out...it's the only major issue we have...we have the players to win but a coach that lacks intensity and the will to use other players when something's not right ...
letting Lee play against miss st. is hardly throwing the game considering what JJ did against vandy. i'm not saying Lee should start but he should definitely see snaps in the first half...we have to fix this problem in the first half or we'll lose this game......
