put in a solid performance. Made all the plays he was asked to make plus made some big plays on his own. When Crowton/Miles took the handcuffs off a little bit, he was able to move the team. Don't blame jefferson, blame Crowton/Miles if you don't like the offense.

surely you jest. the only thing better about our offense is that we use Shepherd more. the o-line is improved as well.

now this was a quality win. we have a good football team because our special teams and defense are playing great and giving us great field position. last year we started from the 20 or from inside the 20.

JJ made a few good plays in the second half. but after 3 games we have no red zone offense. it looks as though the coaches are afraid to let him throw the ball. he's a Junior, for land's sakes.

having said that, even if he doesn't do any better, we can still win 9 or 10 games this year. but, heck, if we had any kind of qb we would definitely compete for the SEc championship.

I don't think JJ is the best QB, but the play calling is so conservative.. If we are going to stick with him this would have been a good game to get him some throws downfield, because we are going to need some big plays from the passing game down the road...

I thought JJ had a good game...but everything about the offense was about not letting JJ "fail".

In other words...we werent gonna put JJ in any "tough" situations..which is smart.

But can you win a championship with this mentatlity? ...not letting your QB get into any possible "tough" situations?

We'll see. Our D will have to remain dominant for sure though..

96 yards against that team isn't good but at least he didn't turn the ball over

Are you joking? 10-16 for 97 yds?

Yeah, it's Miles and Crowton's responsibility to look down the field instead of taking the three yard check down.

I agree with that and don't know why that is. As afraid of as they are to let Jefferson throw the ball down the field they appear to be even more afraid of letting Lee QB. You can't play scared, which is MILes/Crowtons fault, not Jeffersons

Well toliver and Shep dropped two touchdowns. so that owudl have helped his stat line. also we had great field position a lot.

I keep going back to finding fault with the offensive game plan. There are times where the mentality should be to go for the kill shot and instead it seems like they do anything they can to let the opponent get their feet set and dig in. It is just very frustrating.

Shep dopped a perfectly thrown first down and a perfectly thrown Touchdown. And he knows it.

I think he played a solid game. He could have had 150 yards + with those completions and he was pretty efficient on the night.

Moral of the story, we only had 1 punt and put points on the board on 7 of 9 drives (should have been 8).

If RS doesn't drop two, you are looking at 12-18 for 160. Not great but better

Our defense and special teams are playing great. But this offense will not beat teams like Alabama and Florida. Against a mediocre team, we managed only 264 yards of total offense. We didn't make too many mistakes--we had only one turnover--but geez, we had five interceptions and lots of opportunities to score a lot of points. We just can't capitalize, and this will come back to bite us.

Miles has publicly admitted that he is handling him carefully, putting him only in situations where he can't fail. This is obvious from the playcalling, primarily runs, and short passes.

This is what you do when you're trying to build confidence with a true freshman quarterback that has no college experience.

JJ was 10-16, for 87 yards.

He's a junior.
