UTV wreck, a yamaha rhino rolled and the girl in the passenger side put her foot on the ground to brace herself and the floorboard hit mid shin. She lost her leg from the knee down.

Took care of a girl (briefly before she died) who was hit by a pickup going 55 while she was walking. We think she may have jumped in front of him.
The force and whiplash to her head was so severe that it nearly scalped her. She had two 6-7” lacerations on either side of her head. These were through the temporal arteries. Every time you pushed down for a chest compression, a little blood dribbled out of the cut arteries.

Saw a guy on a motorcycle get run over by a semi. Nothing but a blot when it was over.

My mother and your mother must know each other. Mine retired from BRG-Bluebonnet a few years ago.

You must be relatively new around here. A few years ago, a popular poster lost a very close loved one in the same way. He posted about it recently and how much it still affects him.

I have a pretty good friend who is an officer for CN and he has some pretty gnarly stories about that stuff too.

There was a video a long time ago about a guy in N.Y. City that fell on the subway tracks and almost managed to get back on the platform before the subway hit him.
He somehow got compressed between the subway car and the platform with just his upper body from the waist up above the platform and his lower half mangled. He was pinched so tight at the waist that he lived for over an hour and actually had his wife come down so he could say goodbye to her.
Once the EMS and Rescue folks got hydraulic jacks in place to move the subway car away from the platform, he bled out in seconds and died.

On a construction site. Driver was transporting pile driving hammer to site when car traveling opposite way swerved into his lane to make a wide u-turn. Truck driver slammed on breaks which successfully stopped truck. Pile hammer continued moving forward, snapping chains used to hold it down and allowing pile hammer to essentially move completely through cab of truck. Was like a scene out of a horror movie. Image stuck in my head years later.

Had to pull a guy out of a grain auger. His left foot got hung and it was pulling him down. His foot was gone and his calf was like a spiral sliced ham. They had to amputate all the way up to mid thigh because of infection.

Was this the pill-head from Mandeville that was writing the fake scripts and smashed into a broken down car?

US 1st Lieutenant vs suicide bomber in Iraq.
We had to double bag the guy because he was leaking through the first one. Was almost completely decapitated.

Rear ground guide in a motor pool after a field exercise. He wasn’t paying attention and neither was the front ground guide telling the driver to back up. Rear ground guide’s head was smashed between two truck bumpers. Head popped like a cantaloupe.

Motorcycle accident. I was the third car to stop and try to help. A rib had pierced his lungs and he had a sucking chest wound and tension pneumothroax. We tried to treat him but it was no use because his skull was cracked and part of his brain had been pushed out of the hole.

I've seen more than my fair share of motorcycle injuries, my kid broke his arm yesterday.
Seen several compound fractures with bones sticking out, joint dislocations, seen 2 people die on the track. It can be a rough sport. Haven't really seen anything as gruesome as some of the stories told here though and I don't want to.

On a 4 wheeler ride 2 guys hit a tree in a side by side going 40. One stuck his arms on the dash to brace himself and both bones snapped and stuck out his arm

woman and two young girls get ripped to shreds by a belt fed machine gun when their dad drove to close our checkpoint in Iraq. Technically it was legal according to the ROE’s but it was pretty obvious the guy had just made a mistake and missed the sign because he was slowing down and coming to a stop. Somehow the father who was driving didn’t have a scratch on him.
The guy who did it became an outcast in the platoon and ended up on suicide watch before we sent him home early. Dude was a total frickhead. He wasn’t even upset that he killed a woman and two little girls. He was devestated that everyone in his platoon fricking hated his guts and he had no friends.
Man that’s an awful story. Feel bad for the father and for that guy

We had just come out of Fallujah
We hired a black guy on the farm that was a marine in fallujah. He had been through hell in that fight. He was shot 3 or 4 times
Ironically he was scared to death to pick up a 5 lb catfish. Never figured that one out
