Softball to the eye socket on a crappy field w a lot of grass. Sounded like he’d been hit in the head with a metal pipe. Kind of thick thud with a cracking/smacking sound.

broke my ankle, full dislocation of the foot.

Was in the rain, I hit my back and head hard, and after hearing the crack (from ankle), I hoped for the best.. but lifted my right leg and saw my foot pointing the wrong direction.

Working constuction putting myself through A&M. Was testing disconnects and heard a yell. Looked over and a boilermaker hit the ground from 110 feet. The civil crews were pouring concrete flooring in sections. You guessed it, his head hit one of the sections and splattered like a watermelon. This was the second person I had seen die on a construction site.

Pole vault at our conference meet my junior year at ULM. Kid from south Alabama had just cleared the conference record and was going for the new NCAA leading mark for the year. Missed the height and instead of landing on his back he tried to stick it and landed sideways on his foot. Our team area was right near the pole vault mat and needless to say landing on a foot like that from 19 ft up didn’t look pretty.

In India. Was like 10 years old. Saw a lady on a moped get hit by a lorry (basically an 18-wheeler). Her head was caved in when we drove past.

I was gonna post about a kid taking a baseball to the face, and falling out into a 3 minute seizure, from 40 feet away off of a metal bat...

Didn't witness the actual accident but I watched a Father carry his deceased six year old son into an emergency room after he was hit by a car while riding his bike. It was clear the child was gone and to see this man carry his whole world in his arms while crying, screaming, and moaning "my baby" repeatedly was more than I could take. I broke down myself and never got over witnessesing it. I still have nightmares about it till this very day.

Saw a kid get hit by a car in the parking lot of some ball fields. He flew about 10 feet, landed on his side and face and tumbled a few rolls. Blood everywhere, and of course he was knocked out cold. Never regained consciousness before the ambulance hauled him away, but I heard he survived. I was about 10 at the time and it fricked me up for a few weeks. The screams from his mom were haunting.

I saw a guy run his motorcycle into a Ford F-250 Diesel front end that turned in front of him. And by that I mean I heard him coming up the street and said he’s going to hit the truck and he did. No helmet, shorts, no shirt or shoes. His torso pushed a diesel motor so far into the cab that it crushed the drivers legs and he had to be cut out. Estimated 110 mph and he convulsed about 45-55 seconds before he evacuated his bowels and died right in front of us. He barely resembled a human body.
