Totally depends on the person. I've got 7" inseam shorts that I love. I've tried on other's that I feel like a basketball player. I've got 6" that I'll wear on the boat or around the house, but can come off as a little short.

Depends on the job.
If I'm hiring for Perlis, I'll take the first guy. If I'm hiring for a bartender job, I'll take the second.
Neither look professional and one doesn't look more responsible than the other.

So are these expectable ?
They are not pass the knee, not extremly baggy, and the pockets aren't huge. Would this be ok to wear to a casual outdoors OT gathering or should I wear my nice jeans ?

id wear those but they are pretty casual.

I am honestly curious about this.....To those that wear cargo shorts do you really use all the extra pockets? Seriously what do you carry around with you? I would think most people carry a wallet and a set of keys and not much else.

I can't wear any shorts above the knees, and definitely no greek-trash looking tighties in fruity colors. Darker colors like cargo shorts typically come in hide my junk better, which is my biggest concern, no pun intended. But it's all about where you're going. I'm not going to roll up to Sizzler's in cargo shorts, I'm going to wear some jeans. Now if it's a quick trip to WalMart where if have to stuff my pockets full of things as I go.... well yeah, cargo shorts.

Why cant you wear shorts that fall above the knee? You find giant long "shorts" comfortable? You don't find a lighter weight pair of shorts comfortable?
