How is that different from other airlines. I'm sure other airlines have cancelled flights as well.

I've never heard anyone say anything that bad about Southwest tbh. I just don't see how they can be any worse than the other airlines.

Also to those that fly SW regularly...since you can check bags for free...does that lessen the mad rush to get overhead space on the plane? Or seeing the amount of people trying to bring carry on bags way bigger than the standard carryon?

Agree 100% on southwest

Out of Dallas, American beats them every time I fly by a good margin

And for the record, I will take early retirement if any airline wants to drag my arse out of plane.

Lsu nurse. Do not pay the $15, just get on the internet type in your name and confirmation number 5 minutes before check in as soon as your computer clicks on to the time for your flight (24 hrs) ahead you will get a good number.

I have flown Southwest for 20 years very little trouble, I get in the "A" line 99% of the time

I like the free checked bags because they can load the plane so much quicker. People on the other airlines are trying to carry on too much.

I love pick your own seat. Who I sit by is more important than where I sit.

I like the 737s

SW is replacing all their old 737s with 737 Max over the next 5 years

It's for work so I don't have to pay for the flight...so the $15 each way that I would be paying for isn't a big deal to me.

I'm claustrophobic and the only way I don't start feeling like I'm gonna panic while flying by myself....is if I sit in a window seat. It's a nonstop flight each way...so I'm not really worried about where on the plane I'm sitting(as in front or back of the plane)...but I have to have a window seat.

I flew on a SW plane over Mardi Gras that was just produced in January.

That was my first time flying SW & I thought it was great. No complaints here whatsoever.

How does sitting in an enclosed space, nearest the window, make you feel not claustrophobic?

I don't know what was worse back in the day, having to listen to bootleg tapes of their shows or hanging out with the turds who loved to play endless loops of phish bootleg tapes.

I dont really care for Southwest, but their boarding process definitely cuts down on gate lice, or really corrals it I guess.

If I can see out of the window...the space feels less constricting to me. Also...I can easily distract myself when I start feeling anxious by looking out the window.

ETA: Also...I usually never get up during a flight unless I absolutely have to. I also like the window seat cause I can prop my pillow against it to nap if I wish as well(napping is also a great distraction as well for me when flying).

People that fly regularly don't try to avoid checking bags because of the fee. 95% of the time that would be reimbursed by their company. They avoid checking bags because of the inconvenience and time it takes to wait once you get off the plane.

If you've never heard anything bad about southwest here is your first. They are shite

What your worst case scenario on a flight, other than crashing?

But everyone else on the plane...those not flying for business...usually they are avoiding checking bags because of the fee.

I'm not too worried about the flight itself...it's 2.5 hours each way nonstop. So no layovers to worry about no worries about connecting flights, etc.

The only options given to me by the travel coordinator was American or SW. SW had the better flight times so I picked them.

I have literally pick many great vacation spots based on their Wanna Get Away rates over the last few years. Los Angelos is about $220 round trip this fall.

I don't know. I've only ever missed one flight and it happened to be a SW flight.

Virgin America or GTFO.

oh and the fact that Virgin only goes to handful of major cities makes it all the better, almost no trash from the South or Midwest
