re: 9 year old batboy killed by on deck circle practice swing - RedFoxx
Very sad and tragic. When I was a kid my neighbor's little brother came running up behind me while I was swinging and I hit him in the side of the head with my back swing. It was an aluminum bat, he just dropped and started crying. He ended up being okay, minus a headache, but it really shook ...

re: What is the biggest rip-off in Baton Rouge? - RedFoxx
I see someone hasn't been since been since it changed owners. Place had a total overhaul and prices went down significantly on bottle beers and mixed drinks. The daily specials are legit. Tues is my favorite with $5 burger and fries(real burger not a $1 lakeside special) with $2 domestic...

re: Travel and Leisure- Airfares will drop to record lows this fall - RedFoxx
Not gouging. Price fixing, which is a per-se criminal offense.
The DOJ is accusing the airlines of secretly agreeing to control capacity and as a result keep prices up. While the same time DHS is continuing to raise fees and taxes, in some instances wanting to charge some travelers...

re: what don't we have airbags for planes - RedFoxx
I know the Mayalisa airline that disappeared had been written to under 100 million dollars on the books but was insured at full replacement cost. The airline received close to 300 million dollars .. They had their best quarter ever in 2014 when that plane disappeared ..
Are you se...

re: Best Louisiana/Cajun Restaurant experience outside of the Gulf South - RedFoxx
here's a few good Louisiana places here in ATX (Shoal Creek, Stuffed). Gotta be the relative proximity to Gulf or even Acadiana.
I like Stuffed the best out of the places in Austin. But I'm a big plate lunch fan. I went to Evangeline and ordered the jambalaya, it was good not g...

re: what don't we have airbags for planes - RedFoxx
A dirty secret is that airlines insure these planes for full replacement cost and it is very profitable for an airline if they "lose" a plane.
Yeah, that is why so many are intact sitting in the desert. Most airlines don't outright own their planes they lease them, e...

re: Travel and Leisure- Airfares will drop to record lows this fall - RedFoxx
If I had to guess, airlines are making bank now because they're keeping the prices high aka the collusion the DOJ is investigating
It is laughable that the government is investigating airlines for gauging the public. This is the same government that is constantly seeking to raise t...
Honeymoon there for 7 nights at Sandals Halcyon. Seriously just got back yesterday. As said, island infrastructure is poor, but the resort was fine. Staff is attentive and the views/water is gorgeous. Probably won't go back though. Thought it was going to be a bit more elegant than it was....

re: Anyone ever travel to St. Lucia? - RedFoxx
I highly recommend taking the helicopter ride from the airport to the resort.
Yes, any good resort will offer this as an option. The commercial airport is on the southern part of the island and the resorts are in the northern part. With the way the roads are there it can be well ov...

re: Anyone ever travel to St. Lucia? - RedFoxx
St. Lucia is a place you go to relax and getaway from it all, not to party or do adventure type activities. Jade Mountain is the best resort on the island, it's sister property Anse Chastanet is a little more reasonably priced. No phone, TVs or radios in the room....
