re: Last Nights NBA ratings bested MLB playoff ratings. - VerlanderBEAST
Not surprising these are the best ratings the NBA will do until the 2nd round of the playoffs except for maybe Christmas. So for it to slightly be ahead of game 3 of a so far uncompetitive series. The Yankees game 5 will a do a much bigger number tonight I think EDIT: I take that back I forgot th...

re: Aaron Rodgers injury may usher in a radical rules change - VerlanderBEAST
The NFL is a violent league. Injuries are part of it. That shouldn't change based off of one hit.
The horse collar rule is a direct result of Roy Williams injuring TO. If it had been Todd Pinkston the rule never gets created...
in 2017? nebraska is only a big deal to people who pull for nebraska. great tradition, all-time top ten team. just not a destination job anymore.
Did Alabama stop being a destination job before Saban? or USC before Carroll? Again the things you're saying sound like someone who ...

Completely opposite direction of what is expected but he is a huge upgrade over what they've had. It could be a homerun if they go all out hiring assistants to support Leach with recruiting and defense ...

re: End of the 1-and-done rule nearing - VerlanderBEAST
That would go a long way to fundamentally changing football after the uptick in deaths from allowing fresh out of high school kids to play in the NFL.
This would be once in blue moon. Like Randy Moss, Charles Woodson, Adrian Peterson....

re: It's incredible how far Nebraska has fallen - VerlanderBEAST
Nebraska's ceiling is Wisconsin which is playing in Rose Bowls when the Big 10 is in the CFB Playoff or winning the conference when the Big 10 is down. But like Wisconsin, they'll never truly be elite. Wisconsin is very successful but they're never in the national championship conversation in...

re: It's incredible how far Nebraska has fallen - VerlanderBEAST
I don't think Frost is their man. They need a stud defensive coach(should look at the NFL) and they need to break the bank on assistants. I think someone like Mike Vrabel would be a good fit....
From 1960-2001, there was no program more consistently good than Nebraska. Yeah...they kind of struggled against elite competition, but they only ever finished outside the AP Top 15 seven times in that span. 42 seasons and they only finished outside the AP Top 15 seven times, and only once un...
