Ran into an old friend today and she told me she was sending her 18-year-old daughter to the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts in Natchitoches. She raved about it. Only boarding school in the state. $1,700/year total. Extended weekends with free bus transportation to and from Natchitoches (drop off/pickup LFT, BTR, COV, MET).

Feedback please if you have any experiences with the school or heard reviews. Thanks...

I know a number of people that went there.

In general, they tended to be some very smart people but also utterly fricked on their social skills.

And as one alum put it, “if you haven’t developed Gaydar after attending there, you are clearly gay.” Said alum was gay and exited the closet at some point in or after college.

I thought it was for younger kids. At 18 why isn't she going to College?

If it is the one I am thinking of, he is from BR and scored a perfect SAT in the 90s.

Daughter went years ago. Daughter also has always dated guys. Not that I care about that. Have 2 nieces there now and a nephew will go in 2 years.

If you want maximum scholarship money this is where you go if you are a smart kid.

This is not true, Sacred Heart of Grand Coteau is also a boarding school.

My wife went there. She raves about the place. Absolutely loved her time there. She is much much much smarter than I am.

She’s drug me to a couple of alumni meetups and holy shite they are some strange birds. Good people but fricking weird

Give me an above average student with excellent social skills, over a brilliant student with no social skills all day.
