re: Why do so many middle class African Americans vote for the left? - tigerpawl
OK - I'll bell the cat. A close relative - possibly parents - are extremely dependent on government entitlements. They perceived the GOP as kryptonite to that. Self-determination is not even in the conversation. AA sons and daughters will even tell you that parents are "addicted" to entitlements and...

re: The EU "Bubble" - How the Geniuses Underestimated the People - tigerpawl
It's all about immigration. There's a limit to how long you can sit back and watch a herd of cattle trample across your freshly mowed lawn. Brits woke up one day and found out that Great Britain wasn't so great anymore because immigrants - mostly Muslim - weren't assimilating and were viewed as push...
Socialism tries for equal outcomes, but humans don't want to be like everybody else. Some are content with less, but most want more. They want better, they want to improve, and they want to see the rewards of their hard work. Socialism deprives people of all three, which is why the people qui...

The EU "Bubble" - How the Geniuses Underestimated the People - tigerpawl
The thing that jumps out in this interview is the eerily similar dynamics between the Brexit vote and the current circumstances in DC. By that, I mean how tone-deaf DC Bureaucrats - mainly GOP (I'm an R) - are misreading and underestimating "We the People", just as the British politicians di...

re: FAA introduces new regulations on drones - tigerpawl
I think the 333 will no longer be required. I did call the FAA this morning and the guy I spoke to wasn't sure, but the language in the "Final Rule" make it pretty clear that if you haven't already petitioned for a 333, it only makes sense to operate under Part 107 and forego the 333. It states as f...
