re: CBS News: Is the craft beer craze going flat? - Fat Harry
What's wrong with the beer we got? Budweiser, Millah, Coors? It drinks pretty good, don'it it? [link=(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cj5IFdapS8)]LINK[/link]...

re: Pierce from Tulane to take over for Garrido at Texas? - Fat Harry
Andy C. is also several years older than Riser, if that makes a difference. Andy was on the 2001 CWS team and Riser was on the 2005 CWS team....

re: Purloo to close at Southern Food and Beverage Museum - Fat Harry
The food was pretty good. It was just like the food you get in Jackson, MS or Birmingham, AL. I'm not surprised the concept didn't take here. ...

re: Anyone here own and fly your own plane? - Fat Harry
There are flight schools all over. I recommend flying with at least 2 instructors to find one you really like. A good instructor makes all the difference. Rent a Cessna 172 and do your training in that. Budget $7k for plane rental, instructor lessons, books, testing, etc. You need 30 hours with...

re: How was Germany able to field such large army's in the world wars - Fat Harry
Germany pre-1945 was about 33% larger and had around 80 million people. Then you had the conquered territories incorporated and ethnic Germans living abroad. Ukrainians, Lithuanians and other groups that hated the USSR also fought on the Axis side....

re: What is worst strip club you ever visited? - Fat Harry
The strip club in Vaiden, Mississippi just off of I-55 is awful. Terrible! Even during hunting season. Big Daddy's at the old location with the swinging legs was pretty terrible. The Iberville Street clubs are also just gross....

re: On what basis would you play Tulane in football? - Fat Harry
I'm in favor of playing LSU in all sports except football. There is just too much disparity. Maybe in 5 years if CWF can fix the program, but right now the games just aren't fun. The only decent game was the 2007 game in the 'Dome, and then only for the first half where Tulane took a 9-7 lead....

Pei Wei's in Mid City closing - Fat Harry
Being replaced by Mr. Ed's seafood joint. [link=(http://www.nola.com/dining/index.ssf/2016/06/mr_eds_oyster_bar_expands_to_m.html)]LINK[/link] I will actually miss Pei Wei...the lettuce wraps were always good and it was a cheap, kid friendly chain that we don't have many of in New Orleans proper...

Spaghetti worms in drum fish - Fat Harry
I purchased some black drum yesterday from Whole Foods and blackened it in a skillet. The fish was not cheap since it was from WF. After cooking, I noticed 2-3 spaghetti worms in each fillet -- a pretty gross find. I removed the worms and served the fish, since Google said they weren't harmful. ...

re: How many of y'all own a gun? - Fat Harry
I have several guns. Shotguns for bird hunting, rifles for deer or other large(r) game, and a couple of handguns for self protection. Not from the zombie apocalypse mind you, but from our fine citizens of New Orleans who might as well be zombies....
