If this "connection" truly is "amazing" then you need to follow your instincts. If she sees you as desperate and flees, then your connection wasn't that "amazing" and you've lost nothing.
If you "play it cool" against all of your instincts, it will fail as it isn't in your true nature. Your relationship will be built on a foundation of lies and when she discovers you are a dweeb (or whatever you are in real life) she will feel betrayal and you will have then blown it.

Jesus Christ, there is some pathetic information in here.
Dudes reduce every behavior down to some stupid arse set of rules and then blame their failures on pressing the incorrect series of buttons. It's like some of you people think you're entering a cheat code on a computer game.
You want to send the right impression? Be genuine and not creepy. That's it. I guess that is hard if you, in fact, actually suck. Maybe, just maybe, you could try thinking about women as people rather than puzzles you need to solve with the right set of instructions.
Wait a week to call? That's fine if the circumstances warrant it and you're not weird about it.
Call the next day? That's fine too if the circumstances warrant it and you're not weird about it.

No need to wait. My first wife called me the same day I treated her at my office and told me the things she would do to my peen if I came over. I drove straight to my girlfriend's house, broke up with her, then went to the whore's house. 9 months later we were married.

Thanks to everyone that gave genuine advice and didn't ridicule or laugh at me. I do have a tendency to over think things these days instead of just going with the flow, but what went down in that gas station last night was something I've never experienced before. Anyway, I texted her ab 20 min ago and invited her to go fly fishing with me this weekend and she accepted. I know that sounds weird but I think it will be a good time. I will def show restraint if she attempts to have sex with me on this trip. Thanks again for the tough love and words of wisdom guys, I hope this one is THE one.
