Jesus people, we lost. On the road, to a better all-around team. Yea, Brees played like shite in the first half but brought us back in the second and we had a shot to tie at the end...can't ask for much more in that situation. He just had ANOTHER 5000 yard season of which he owns nearly half of all time. He is one of the GOAT and is still right there with Manning & Brady as the elite of today. Oh yea...and he's younger than both of them

This should be posted in every thread where the retards come in and bash drew.

People easily forget and take for granted the type of quarterback we got. He is special and without him the saints are not relevant at all.

frick all you pussies that think we can get better. News flash, the better quarterback didnt win yesterday. The better TEAM did

In the Superdome. Nobody's better. On the road in a warm environment. Top quarter. On the road in a cold environment. Slightly above average.

doesn't get much more elite than first ballot HOF. Most don't have their peak years going into retirement however. That doesn't eliminate the elite label (for those that have to debate such things).

There was a grantland article that broke down Brees' number at temperatures less than 40, 40-80, in doors, 80+.

His worst numbers were in 80+ temps. Best in the dome, and the other two categories were nearly identical.

I'd like to find a QB that has better numbers in the cold than what they do in average temps.

The guy has been either first or second in the league in yards and TDs for 3 consecutive years. This is despite the fact that their defense has largely sucked during that period, and that their wide receivers would get pulled over by the cops for going too slow. Give him the receiving corps that Manning has in Denver and he blows the top off of Manning's record.

Brees has no playmakers around him and hasn't since he came here. Payton and Loomis' plans in the offseason are always to draft a couple hundred defensive backs and linemen, and completely disregard linebackers and receivers.

Then this team is SHOCKED when they don't play well against good passing defenses and teams that can run the ball.

It's gonna happen again this offseason. Watch when they go OT in round 1, CB in 2 and S in 3... or some combination of the above.

I swear, it is like people don't know what to expect from playoff football, on the road, in shite weather, against a hell of a defense.

They think its like playing the Jags at home in October.

Ive seen some stupid shite posted and you are usually the author

You dont have a fricking clue what you're talking about.

How about you try to back up your bullshite claim with numbers? You can't. They are actually 180 degrees of what you posted.

I hate that I get caught into arguments with retarded people on this site.

Think before you post

It is hard to say, because he does not play with any elite deep threat wideouts. He has been very good for us, and he is probably the most valuable Saint in history. I do not rate him as good as Brady, Rogers, or a dimished Manning, but he is HOF bound. It is possible that he is starting to feel the effects of age.

He's still elite.
Every game we lost the o line got whooped. That happens and a qb makes bad throws. His arm strength was never strong. He threw for 5k yards.

To the idiot who says luck is elite based on potential....what???
The next qb to fill an elite spot is gonna be foles from what I've seen.

Danm some of you people are spoiled. Probably because you weren't really invested Saints fans before CSP and Bree's arrived. We have all been witness to some of the greatest offensive and qb performances of all time and yet it's still not enough for some of you. You think winning Superbowls are your god good given right now. To witness the Saints in the Superbowl and then to inconceivably win the damn thing in 2009. For that alone I'll never question or doubt Brees or Payton. They've earned my respect and loyalty.

Yes! There are four teams that went further than we did. An upgrade at WR and we will be right back there next year

Please stop with the retarded 'spoiled' arguments. Anyone who has been a fan for 20+ years realizes this is the best shot this franchise will have to win Super Bowls for probably the next 50+ years.

At home - Absolutely
In a Dome - Probably
Outside - Maybe
Outside on the road - Meh

He is right at that age ( a year maybe two) away from his skills diminshing
