re: I found out I have a 10 year old son - guttata
You'd be better off giving the money to the step dad and letting him start a college fund for his kid. You were simply a sperm donor. Don't make this kid's life any more confusing. if the kid wants to meet you, let him seek you out when he gets older. Until then, I'd keep your distance....

re: Middle School Soccer formation - guttata
That would be the plan. I'm thinking 4-4-2 with a diamond midfield. (2 wings, an attacking mid and holding mid). Put a club player as attacking mid, holding mid, and as one of the defenders. The midfielders would do fine. It's the defenders and convincing them to let the forwards have the sidelin...

re: Middle School Soccer formation - guttata
That's going to be the plan. We actually have a good goalie. I figure we'd rather take our chances with them shooting from outside the box. ...

Middle School Soccer formation - guttata
If you were the coach and you were coaching a middle school team and your opponent played a 4-3-3 formation, what formation would you play? Both teams have 4-5 club players, however the 4-3-3 team has 3 attackers who are all club players and definitely stronger than your defenders. On the flip sid...

Just wait till he gets a little older. We've been to College Station, Dallas, Hattiesburg, Meridian, and Jackson, in the last 3 months with our 13 yr old. Not to mention, pretty much every weekend we aren't going far away, we usually have Sat games in Mandeville, Lafayette, Houma, even Monroe. We...

re: Defeat the APRN Scope of Practice Expansion Attempt - Louisiana Senate Bill 187 - guttata
What do you think opening more med schools is going to do? It will allow less qualified applicants the ability to get into med school which, in turn, will water down the med school degree. I highly doubt, that if you were to ask the specialists (cause make no mistake, if more med schools opened, ...

I never said she can run circles around her collaborating physicians. I said, after 10 yrs of being in a group with 4 other family practice docs, they don't review her charts and none of them spend 30 minutes in a room with a patient. I also said that she is perfectly happy with the way things are...

re: Defeat the APRN Scope of Practice Expansion Attempt - Louisiana Senate Bill 187 - guttata
First off, ODs scope was already expanded last year, so that ship has already sailed. Same arguments were used against ODs when they wanted to treat conjunctivitis years ago. You also are allowed to practice b/c legislation deemed you qualified, through your training. ...

re: Defeat the APRN Scope of Practice Expansion Attempt - Louisiana Senate Bill 187 - guttata
I'm an optometrist, fella. My wife is a family practice NP and has been with the same group 10 yrs. She finds this whole thing comical. When I asked her how often her docs review her charts or how often her docs spend 30 min in a room, she laughed. She has absolutely no desire to open her own pr...
