Drew is an elite human being.

He helped rebuild my hometown when not many people cared to.

He brought us a Lombardi.

$100M is a bargain based on above

He is Hall of Fame material for sure and so he was an elite at one time. Now sorry to say no. He looked like Romo wetting the bed this year in every big game or big moment. He's losing his edge and it's so obvious it hurts to watch. Some of those throws yesterday didn't make me wanna laugh but wanna to cry horrific.

Yes...numbers dont lie.
Was he physically limited the later part of the year...who knows. All who watched know he took a beating.
Question may be, "If not, who would you trade him for?"

For me...some are "as good" but none "better".

Yes The league doesn't have 5 players at his position I would take over him. He has limitations as do most, he is a dome king and an outdoor queen. But we play way more games in controlled environments and warm weather do we good..

Our Fanbase is fricking retarded

You ever seen a 5 year old in a toy store with rich parents and a basket full of the nicest most expensive toys money can buy just sit and cry his eyes out because his parents won't buy him every thing he wants even though he already has more than most kids could never ask for?

That's exactly what this fan base is like. Except if you look at it ad a family all these cry baby's were adopted by rich parents and the biological children aka fans before Katrina just sit and laugh because we remember when we were happy with a shitty toy and these new kids are crying because the most expensive toy on the market which they already own won't do something that impossible aka win the superbowl every year.

I mean in the last 8 years (holy shite 8 fricking years) the saints have been in the playoffs almost every year, been to the NFC championship twice, have a future hof qb who owns like half of the all time records possible, a super bowl title, a phenomenal coach, etc..

We all have a right to be upset after that game. Drew had like 10 attempts in the first half which is insane. And we lost a winnable game which is a real bummer but get a fricking grip on yourselves. The saints with the addition of like 2 stud olineman will be in the playoffs and viable early runners for the superbowl again.

I do, but I also think it's time to draft his replacement to start learning under his leadership.

All great things at some point come to an end.

I appreciate him taking us to another level.

Of course. If you think he's not due to road performances this season, you have to also think Tom Brady isn't as well. Brees has a higher QB rating on the road than Brady this season.
BOOM!

And Drew threw for 5000 yards this season ... so ... yea, he's elite

This is why you're one of the best on here my friend

On a positive note:

Soon enough the idiots will leave, and the regulars will be able to have some nice, in depth discussions again; ranging from saints football to the art of finger banging. I love football season, but this board is of a much higher quality in the off season, and that's unfortunate.

The DATTYS will not be had until the dipshits leave. You dont break out the good shite at your party until the public leaves and just your friends are left.

half the time.

14TD/11INT away from home isn't elite.

You are trolling, right?

I just looked, game by game, at the 2013 season (which we finished 12-6, including postseason), and I'm trying to find where Brees "shite the bed" in every big moment. Would you care to enlighten me?

I did see some great performances in some big wins and a few clutch drives. And I saw a couple of piss poor games . . . you know . . . like every quarterback has each season. But on balance, pretty solid season for Brees.

I feel that way about the Saints and LSU.

People bitch every year but both teams are great now compared to the past.

Negatigers and negasaints piss me off.
