I use a palomar knot whenever possible. It is an outstanding knot....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Wasted Opportunities - bearhc on 5/17/16 at 8:54 pm
SuperSaint, you are right. My post was inspired by today's events, but I am addressing all young athletes who are making these choices. I am pro LSU, but I acknowledge the same types of mistakes by our players also as well as many other schools in our conference. These guys have got to wake up and f...

Wasted Opportunities - bearhc on 5/17/16 at 5:04 pm
How many of you would give your right eye to walk out on the field or court for an SEC team? How many of you grew up pretending that you were NFL or MLB player? How many of you grew up in families with modest means? How many of you that went to college had to take out loans to attend school? I cann...

The launch at Beshel's is horrible, and the people really do not care if anyone launches there or not. They make their money from docking fees and fuel sales. I wish someone would buy the property, because the potential is enormous. You can fish the marsh in the fall and have a fairly short run out ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
Harris must run - bearhc on 4/18/16 at 5:57 am
In order for our offense to improve, we must involve Harris to a much greater extent in the running game. We now have a backup QB who looks like he can play, so an injury to Harris would not be a catastrophe. Harris seems to be improved ,but there are still things that concern me. He still seems to ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (9)

How many of you guys saw the a-hole professor from Tulane calling for the removal of Andrew Jackson's statue from Jackson Square? Now here is some interesting info: Paul Tulane was the biggest financial supporter of the Confederacy in the City of New Orleans. Now Prof, you should be appalled to work...

The women will be much better next year. Vargas can coach; she has not been able to recruit. Let's face it; the landscape has changed and the SEC no longer is a dominant force in women's basketball. Even Tennessee is trending downward. Not that we really care about women's basketball....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)
Simmons, Jones, Others. - bearhc on 2/20/16 at 8:43 pm
Ben Simmons wants to be a Magic Johnson type of player, and I think that is what best suits him. As I have said about Les Miles, I like the man , but I question his coaching ability. I like Johnny Jones, but I question his coaching ability. Next year, none of the returning players are top notch play...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)
re: How the heck did Miles play on the O-line? - bearhc on 1/28/16 at 1:00 pm
Because lineman were smaller and much quicker then. When the NCAA eliminated the wide side of the field lineman did not need as much speed. Obviously athletes have also simply become bigger and faster. In the early 70's Notre Dame's lineman were typically 240 and above and were considered to be huge...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: The rebounding effort of this team game in and game out... - bearhc on 1/24/16 at 7:51 am
We do not have talented big bodies. Robinson has not panned out; he cannot get off the floor at all. Simmons has done a good job but has to stay out of foul trouble. Victor gets into foul trouble trying to guard people who are much bigger than he is , not taller-bigger....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
