Outside of the dome, he is an average QB at best and at times - atrocious. The first half performance speaks for itself. I have never seen him miss open receivers that badly.

The most troubling part for me was his meltdown in the 4th quarter. He was totally oblivious to the play clock repeatedly. He wasn't trying to audible etc and got stuck, he was not tuned in mentally. With the pressure of the moment and the game/season on the line, he froze. That is the definition of a CHOKE. There's no way to candy coat it.

He's a first ballot Hall of Famer. Of that there is no doubt. But he also shite the bed big time on the road this year. Of that there also is no doubt.

Drew is the man, but his age and limitations seemed to stand out at points this year.

We gameplanned for him NOT to throw in the 1st half. He had 1 bad possession, yes. But every other possession was runs and screens.

Of course. If you think he's not due to road performances this season, you have to also think Tom Brady isn't as well. Brees has a higher QB rating on the road than Brady this season.

How would you characterize Tom Brady on the road this year? Just curious

If Matt Ryan is elite, drew Brees is still a god.

You are not a Saints fan, yet most of your posts are on this board. Strange.

Yes, Drew is still elite but he is on the backside of his career. His body and arm strength have changed. He is still in the top 5 quarterbacks in the league.

I wouldn't because Tom Brady doesn't play for the Saints.

I am not a Saints fan because… I don't sugar coat Brees' performances?

Yes. Besides Manning, Rodgers, and Brady, name another QB who is considered elite.

Russell Wilson didn't exactly look too good either, did he? Drew had a terrible start, no doubt, but considering the weather- strong wind and rain, do you think even Manning would be on target? Without Drew we don't win- period!
