January 9th is at the top of my list. Probably because it is the most recent.

Long list...

LSU/Bama part II
Indians/Red Sox ALCS 2007
Indians/Marlins 1997
...while not a Cubs fan, the '03 NLCS is still so stunning.
Spurs/Lakers 2004 (Fisher's shot)
Spurs/Mavs '06 (The comeback from a 3-1 defecit and a 20 point defecit in game 7 only to lose in OT)

Yes, they are modern day. They lost 5 games that year, the 96 UK team was better anyway. Duke wins the NC that year and it wouldn't be an argument.

Kevin Brown dominating the Astros in the '98 NLDS.

Podsednik's walk-off HR in Game 1 of the '05 World Series set the tone for that one.

Stockton's series-ending three in the '97 WCF ended the Big Three era for the Rockets.

The walk off HR in 05 was game 2. Jenks shut the Stros down in game 1.

Every game was so close. The Astros could have just as easily swept as they were swept.

Wut?

And really, this is what you can't get over? Whatever this nonsense is?

How about you can't get over that you played the Citadel and a bunch of schools who give you a diploma with directions to higher institutions.

1990 UNLV lost 5 games (one at LSU, I was there ) but they did have some guys suspened. The 1991 team was undefeated and lost to Duke by 2 in the FF/ That team is at least as good as 99 Duke.

Hence the use of the word SPORTS in the title.

I can only speak for myself, but things like the OP is asking or when I say I "hate" a certain team, its just sports hate or sports heartbreak.
