I went to that game. I came across some free tickets but that was a long drive arse drive. It took around 7 hours to get there if I remember right. I left at like 4am that morning and got back near midnight. As disappointing as that loss was, I can always say I witnessed the River City Relay in person. During the long drive home, I was able to get over the missed P.A.T by Carney.

that game was rough. but ultimately didn't mean anything. Not much heart break for me.

That one was a heart breaker. I was just starting to follow college basketball and hated Duke. I can only imagine being a UK fan.

Obviously it's much easier a few championships later.

But I was 11 at the time and had really started getting into basketball, especially UK Basketball. Two things I distinctly remember when that happened was just absolutely bawling my eyes out and my Dad knocking the lamp off of the end table in the living room.

yeah. If I remember right, our playoff chances before that game were still pretty slim. Even had we made it, a first round exit would have most likely awaited us.

LSU vs Bama NC

Arkansas losing to tOSU in the Sugar Bowl. That blocked punt at the end really set it up well. He should have picked it up and ran it in.

To clarify, I normally wouldn't care about Arkansas but it was a going for the SEC in the postseason kind of thing.

2011 World Series--the only chance the Rangers had of being a power franchise (they'll make the playoffs this year but won't go anywhere).

1983 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship--huge fan of Phi Slama Jama, after that they quickly faded into obscurity.

Definitely this one from my childhood. As a kid I just could not wrap my head around them knowing the wrong call was made but not correcting the mistake.

I'm with you on this Les. To this day I haven't watched a single replay of that game. It took me about a week or two to get over 1/9 because LSU was never in that game.

The Saints were less than 2 minutes away from the NFC championship

You would remind me of Barbaro in the Preakness.
