An aggy starting a thread about UT? That's new. I think I'll start one about LaTech....

re: Gregg Popovich discusses Kaepernick's national anthem protest, social injustices - TexasTiger08
Are we really going to call out Pop for this? He is being asked to take a stance...as was Steve Kerr. These guys make money in an industry loaded with guys who grew up in dangerous, poverty-stricken, drug-filled, crime-riddled environments. First off, if he keeps quiet, it looks bad. That's t...

re: Amazing difference between '06 and '16 Auburn - TexasTiger08
It almost makes you wonder what it will take for us to get back to that level of intensity, as fans. There's a part of me that likes not getting 'sick' over a loss, but I also wish I gave more of a shite....

Amazing difference between '06 and '16 Auburn - TexasTiger08
The apathy has truly taken over. The fanbase was livid after the loss in 2006. Granted, the refs hosed us. At the time, we could have complained about an offense that scored 3 points with NFL-level talent. Instead, we were pretty-well united over our program. The loss in 2006 stung, hit us to the co...

re: September 26, 2005.. The day I knew we had the wrong guy - TexasTiger08
If you can't view the ride as fun, then you must have a miserable life. We can argue all night about underachieving and blah blah blah, but the fact is, the program isn't ruined. It's time for a change, but it's not ruined. Miles had the unenviable task of going up against the likes of Meyer and ...

re: Are other schools having the same problem keeping fans in the seats? - TexasTiger08
It's game length...and what's more pathetic is that announcers in the Texas-Cal game we're discussing 12 minute quarters. It's a damn shame that someone would consider lessening the time of a game in order to ensure that the commercials are still running. Add me to the group that thinks it is sil...

re: ACC moves Football Championship out of NC - TexasTiger08
If these schools really wanted to test the NCAA or ACC they would threaten to boycott any championship events. You know the tourney would bend over backwards to cater to the allowance of Duke or UNC. They've already done it during their investigations. ...

re: The Whiteness of Baseball - TexasTiger08
I don't understand why this country is so focused on making everyone think alike, be alike, etc. Has it not occurred to the author that maybe blacks just prefer another game? Is there something fundamentally wrong because one particular race succeeds at and enjoys another sport more? We, as a ...

re: Alternative Route to avoid Lake Charles Death Bridge(s) - TexasTiger08
Actually good discussion in this thread. OP has a legitimate fear, nothing wrong with that. But damn, some of you get your panties in a wad over some guy who chooses to be afraid of the bridge? I'll go ahead and say I've driven it frequently, and it's not the most fun thing to drive over. I fe...

re: Vince Young was a better college quarterback than Tim Tebow - TexasTiger08
Yes, but to credit Tebow that title as a qb is laughable. Ryan Perrilloux started the 2007 SEC Title game, and when I look back on the natty that year, I don't credit him as a qb to lead us there...and he was an integral part of that team....

re: Vince Young was a better college quarterback than Tim Tebow - TexasTiger08
Giving Tebow credit for two titles is laughable. The 06 team was Chris Leak and defense. The 08 team lost to Ole Miss for crying out loud, and it's not like Tim tore it up against OU in the title. What VY did in those 2 Rose Bowls was simply amazing. His mechanics were off, and you can question w...
