Saints loss to the 49ers last season was awful for various reasons:
- 5 turnovers, yet still in it
- Miraculous turn around in the closing minutes to produce offense that was quiet in the first half
- Score late, with only needing to hold Alex Smith and a mediocre offense. Blew it
- Saints would have played the Giants in the dome and destroyed them, then the Patriots in the Superbowl, with a good chance for ring 2.

One of the most heartbreaking loses I've ever witnessed, because this team was scary good. Went from a euphoric feeling of seeing the near impossible happen, to things turning in a matter of a minute.

Rangers having two opportunities to get 1 strike and clinch the world series was definitely the hardest event for me to get over

Saints/Bears and 1/9 hurt but it was more anger about how we played, I just couldn't believe what I was watching in the Rangers game

2012 lsu vs. Alabama (but I suspect the 2012 season will cure this.)

Ohio State 2011's Sweet 16 loss to Kentucky

Ohio states loss to Florida in 06-07 for football and basketball, won't get over until we win another NC.

2002 World Cup. That loss to Germany was BS.

That game is painful for many reasons
a) The missed hand ball
b) Oliver Kahn played the best game of his gold ball winning tournament
c) We simply outplayed Germany that day
d) Sanneh barely missing at the end

But I think the worst part was knowing that South Korea was the only other team standing between us and the FIFA World Cup Final.

You could change the thread title to "worst day of your life" and the answer would still be 98 Tennessee.

So it may be a bad time to share that this is one of a handful of placards they've put up in the new dorms for the BB team.

2003 Cubs. Broke my heart and my fandom hasn't recovered.

1/9. We were humiliated. Not just beaten...humiliated.

UT 2005 and Ole Miss 2009. No need to go into detail.

LSU vs Arkansas 2007

I've never watched highlights of this game, and I never will.

Honorable mention: Saints vs Jaguars '04 ("River City Relay")... Obviously I'm over it now, but at the time, I was convinced the Saints were cursed.
