Hey dipshit, he outcoached Saban last year, Urban in '07 and Tressell in '07.

Why didn't you answer my question about the bowl games douche bag? You said you never saw Miles out coach anyone, and I owned your arse.

I love comments like this, because they are unproveable. If I mention a game, like Florida in 2007, where Miles clearly outcoached Meyer, you will say it was the players. But in a game we lost, I'm sure you will say it was Miles' fault.

Typical.

Are you that fricking stupid? So, did you not enjoy our NC? I'm guessing you didn't because you're bringing it up as a negative. How shitty is some of our fanbase...when we can even criticize our coach for winning a national title.

I love that NC just as much as any other. Was in Atlanta that year and in the Superdome. However, only a delusional individual could say the Lsu wasn't lucky as hell to be in that ball game. Didn't play Georgia in the SEC Champ game, Played Ohio St over several better teams, plus multiple things that fell Lsu's way that entire year. Unbelievable when I think about it

Since after the 5th game of 07 the defense has gotten progressively worst without question or debate
you are absolutely wrong. there is no doubt that this past weekend lsu's defense improved from last season. sorry pal. you are dead wrong.

for the record, lsu had key injuries during '07, some guy by the name of dorsey who happened to anchor the defense, that affected the defense.

then, for those with short memories, lsu's defensive staff was in disarray in '08.

by all appearances, miles has corrected that this season.

Exactly. Thank God some people still have brains and can read on this board. Miles has blown out every bowl opponent we've had, and this troll is saying he's "never seen Miles outcoach anyone." God, this board is so fricking infuriating.

Maybe the first game he ever saw was Sept. 5th 2009...then I can buy what he said. And oh yeah, even though we got outcoached, we still won the game.

again, prove that lsu wasn't the best team for that game. what other team should have been there ahead of lsu?

ok, so you apparently haven't read the MULTIPLE threads breaking down the defensive performance showing conclusively that the d was better than last season.

or, you could go read them and get educated.

Hell yeah we were lucky. I don't give a shite. You need some luck to win a NC. We were voted into the game. How come no one else got so lucky?

If Florida wins the NC with a crappy arse schedule, I'll bet their national championship shirts don't have an asterisk on them that say, "Luckily we had a weak schedule to go thru."

When you're standing at the top of the mountain at the end of the year, who cares how you got there?

I'm not saying Lsu wasn't the best team that year. I'm saying they were lucky as hell to be their due to the circumstances that the coach put them in. Put it to you this way. I think the best team Lsu has ever had or maybe ever will was in 2006. That should of been a undefeated team and was better than the two who did play in the NCG but coaching prevented that.

WE WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

I am still amazed at the people that try to somehow undermine this accomplishment. Virtually every national champion had their lucky moments to get to that point. Nick Saban at LSU? He had nearly as many stars align as Miles had. When Spurrier won his championship at Florida, he lost to FSU and then got to face them again for the title. How lucky is that? This may be the stupidest comment ever on the Rant, and that is saying a whole lot.

I agree that LSU deserved to be selected for that NC game. However, let's also be honest about the fact that LSU was very fortunate that WVU lost at home to Pitt. That was pure luck that was well beyond the control of any LSU coach. Pitt was a hefty underdog in Morgantown.

The NC dream should have died with the inexcusable Arkansas home loss. But the fates intervened and LSU was given a chance at redemption. Miles and co., to their credit, took advantage.

No one else got so lucky cause LSU was the one who got Lucky.

I agree completely. However Miles only accomplishment was due to complete luck.

it can be called luck but lsu was the best team for the game, period. and then proved it by winning decisively. what difference does it make if some goofball internet fan decides he's going to use the word "luck"?

Wow. I've never seen someone so passionately try to discredit and discount their own team's national title. Unbelievable.
