I’ve seen Reath live for an entire game. He’s very raw and tries to play on the wing. I don’t think he’s an SEC player right now, but he has potential and would be a candidate to redshirt, put on weight and work on playing more inside.
He’s like a homeless man’s Naz Reid....

Obviously these things are fluid, but LSU feels confident and most observers believe LSU is in the driver’s seat, if he reclassifies.
If he doesn’t, a lot of things can change in a year.

Yes, which is not far from Spain, where LSU basketball will be on a tour in August. That is not a coincidence.

No, he was the Basketball Operations assistant, which is an official position that can run practices, run camps, recruit on campus, etc.
That position has not been filled. The fact that Nickelberry was given a “special” position tells me that Wade has a guy for that spot identified already.

Yea, 3 full time assistants who can coach on the floor and recruit off campus.
If a coach leaves in a few years and the heat is off Nickelberry, he would be a top candidate....

This is who Wade wanted to hire to fill the assistant spot that Taz got, but Nickelberry is kind of toxic right now. This is Wade’s version of Saban’s Coaching rehab program. This is basically shadow staff.

Merritt’s move to Morgan State had been in the works for a while. He wanted to get back into an on court/recruiting position, rather than his admin spot where he was at LSU.

A few updates:
Rodney Howard is down to Georgia and Georgia Tech
Nevada transfer Jordan Brown will likely sign with Kentucky, but will have to sit out a year.
Dearon Tucker picked up an offer from Penn State. Already had offers from Baylor and Wake Forest.
No updates on John Ojiako or Er...

What a shitty post. If you can afford it, you do it. If you can’t, you do whatever you can to help them acquire the means to pay for it , whether that is loans, a job, a grant, a scholarship, etc.

Eric Hamilton is a new name that just entered the portal. LSU has reached out. Played for Heiar at Wichita before transferring to UNCG. Will be a senior. Expected to be a grad transfer and immediately eligible. LSU would not be interested if not.
He is 6-10, 250. Decent player, not a star, depth...

Has nothing to do with Watford. Not even same position. Howard and/or Tucker would be post depth.
LSU would like Watford, Howard and possibly a transfer or two. They have reached out to Jordan Brown of Nevada. Not looking real promising. He has everyone contacting, so that will be tough.

LSU already reached out to him. His former assistant high school coach Jeff Merritt is a Clemson alum and is friends with Will Wade and (I think) is LSU assistant Brian Merritt’s brother.
He’s a 6-10 center.
They also have another unsigned 6-10 center Dearon Tucker LSU is looking at....

Brian Merritt is the connection. He recruited Walker at ASU. Currently the Director of Basketball Operations, could be in line for an assistant position. He’s a former assistant at ASU under Hurley.
