I've felt like they were forked from the start.

Galatoire's (there's never anyone there)

Heard this from a very good source over the holidays.

I went there for the first time NYE. Big disappointment. They weren't very busy, and service was extremely slow. Food was flavorless. Presentation was terrible. Basically just served a piece of fish on a plate.

Not that I care about galatoires too much (we've been twice in a year, once it was empty and once it was full)...but why on earth did you think it was a good idea to order that type of food to eat out of a styrofoam box?

Bull Chicks on Corsey? Does anyone go there? I also have to think that the Mexican place (formerly Oscars) across from Pennington will close as well.

Palermo was excellent last week. I'd go back.

I love Palermo's. I go all the time and it usually has a full, but not packed house. Good wine selection, pleasant atmosphere, good service, and very good Italian food.

Been there for lunch a few times since my wife works in that area, it's pretty decent for the price/convenience.

How is the new branch of Abbeville's 'Shucks' doing over there?

I thought the food was delicious and liked the atmosphere at Palermo, but the service was pretty eh. The girl threw my plate down and walked off while I cleaned it up. Just bizarre.

The Pelican House...

I tried this place three times and the service was beyond terrible.

Serious question: How does someone put tons of money into a place and then allow horrendous service to ruin it? Do they not notice that people are standing at the bar for 10 minutes without a drink?

Heard the same about Table. Weird since that area of town is solid.

Krispy Katch
Buffalo Wild Wings
Galatoire's would be a shocker, considering who owns it.
Smashburger (last 3x I've gone at lunch time it was empty)
Schlitz Giggles overpass

Maybe that area isn't as solid, since almost all these guesses are over there....

I have my own issues with Pelican House, but I've never had to wait for a drink at the bar there. If anything, they normally come up before I can even look at the tap handles.
