re: Tri Tip... An underrated cut of steak - HebertFest08
This is cut used in Santa Maria style BBQ in California. You can smoke it over mesquite, but I wouldn't do "low and Slow" as it doesn't have enough fat and would dry out. I would "wood roast" it at 350 ish. Slice thin across the grain, and serve with good tortilla, and avacado!
i t...

re: Are the boat covers at academy worth a crap? - HebertFest08
It isn't under a carport. It will be kept b/w here and Reggio. So, i'm not sure if I should just get the academy one or go with the custom job. I'd assume the brackish water would eat it up regardless on how much i spend? My main thing with it being down there is shite not molding up under the co...

re: Update: Pg 7,Man shoots down drone hovering over yard, gets arrested - HebertFest08
Yup.... Stuff isn't adding up. That being said a neighbor of my buddy's dad (my buddy knows the neighbor) was outside with his wife's md daughter and someone was flying his drone over his house and hovering with a camera. Ol boy went inside got his shotgun and dusted the drone. Owner comes ov...

re: Pat's Seafood on Jefferson - HebertFest08
If you re from Acadiana you should be ashamed of yourself. You should be able to make better food at home. The mystique of Pats and the Huvals are long gone. I ate at pats in Henderson as much as any local probably did growing up and into the early 90s and the food was decent to good for those ea...
However, I have absolutely no problem with big game hunting, trophy hunting or safaris. If you've got the money, have at it. Hunters are too quick to separate themselves from other hunters, in my opinion
Yeh. If dude knew they lured it off the property then he should have the penal...

haven't seen a lot of love for Makita.... are they crap? I don't want to most expensive, but i also don't mind spending a few dollars to have something i won't have to worry about. Think i'm liking a combo of a drill and impact driver. I did use a guys Rigid stuff the other day while finishing ...

Need a new drill for around the house and doing odds and ends.... any recs? - HebertFest08
I have never actually bought one, my dad gave me one that died and the FIL gave me a dewalt. The battery died on that one and i'm not paying $80 for a replacement battery. I'd rather just buy an up to date model so to speak. It would be for around the house stuff and for doing/building things aro...
