Drinks are a the killer. You can eat pretty well for two for $100 pre tip. My lady got a dirty martini last time and they were $15 a pop. It was really our fault for not specifying liquor.

I'd go to Papa's Brothers instead of Ruth's Chris

Don't go to Brenner's. The only thing it has going for it is ambiance. Food is meh

his silence means he is not online and hasn't seen your posts .. be patient ..

are you talking about the original Chris' location in NOLA or the original location of Chris' in specifically Baton Rouge ?

Oh quit being a drama queen. It was really only one person ripping on the O-T about the tip. I think most people responded in a good way about the restaurant and what to order.

Apparently I've attracted another stalker. So I'll let him enlighten me. I don't know? Was it in a strip mall? TJ's basement? Bon Marche ?

Must suck to be old enough to remember something I don't and worry about being late for work.

yeah .. i didn't really see the tipping part as being a huge part of the thread .. all the tipping comments are around here to me are dick measuring contests .. the amount some of these people claim to tip is like any other thing on either the OT, here, the MSB, etc .. it's exaggerated about 75% ..

i always thought that was the original RC location in BR, myself .. back when all you had in that part of town was that, the hilton, and some office furniture place that edwin edwards would use as his campaign headquarters ..

I usually tip 50%.
On my $5.00 bill at Waffle House.

Martini, did you have a fling with Hooper's girl? Or is he just crazy?

yeah .. same here .. $30 or $40 is fricking plenty on a $150 bill unless the chick gave you a handy in the bathroom or something ..

I only tip $30 to $40 even with the handy. I figure it's her gain.

Not if he uses a gift card, then he should tip $150 since the meal would have cost him $150 if he didn't have the card.

And if he can't afford to tip 100% then he should just stay at home and eat cheetos and watch porn.

I think there is some sort of state law.

I don't know this, but some folks here seem to want to enforce tipping so I am sure it must exist.

He probably can. I've never had a problem doing that.

Never tried at RC but at French Market bistro, I had a $100 GC, wife and I ate for $80 I put the GC in the folder and was walking out and the waiter caught me to give me the GC back with $20 on it, I told him it was for the tip and he said they could not do that, I talked to the MGR and he said the only thing they could do is let the waiter keep the remaining balance on the GC and use it himself, or wait till someone paid for their dinner with cash and swap it out then. I told them that was ridiculous and was just a ploy to get the customer back in the restaurant to use the balance of the card
