re: Rudest and nicest celebs you have met - TexasTiger05
Dan Aykroyd was nice enough to remember a rando person from the night before, and compliment me. For all I know he pays to kill children in Thailand in his spare time, but in the brief time I kinda sorta spoke to him in passing he seemed like an alright guy....

re: Rudest and nicest celebs you have met - TexasTiger05
Dan Aykroyd was really nice. I saw him at Commander's for dinner, and then we were walking around the next morning and saw him walking too. He said "you had on a red dress last night at Commanders. Great dress!" I was floored. The guy in Almost Famous- the kid, whatever his real name is-saw ...

Buying two cars at the same time- strategies - TexasTiger05
Do you test one car, negotiate, get that sorted, and then say you're in the market for 2 cars or say you're looking for 2 cars right off the bat? Any advice appreciated. Haven't done this before....

re: Buy vs Lease a car for the following circumstances - TexasTiger05
I'm thinking that due to mileage the lease isn't a good idea. Another question- when we go get two cars (and will def get used, but reliable SUV's) do you tell the salesman you want 2 cars in the same day, or do you get a price settled on the first one and then let him know you're ...

re: Buy vs Lease a car for the following circumstances - TexasTiger05
Yea, I know. THat's one of the annoying parts about it, and I really don't have a great reference right now either. It wouldn't be anything more than what we'd pay for if we got the extended mile protection...

Buy vs Lease a car for the following circumstances - TexasTiger05
We're moving back to the U.S. pretty soon and have to get 2 cars at the same time. We'll be back in the U.S. for at least 2 years, but will likely be back overseas after that. My (potential) job will have me driving all around Houston a good bit. Plus we'll be going to Louisiana from Houston prob ...

re: LSU fans would you let Mike the tiger do this to you? - TexasTiger05
Petting a tiger and a baby snow leopard are on my b
we did in Thailand last spring. It's cool, but there are a lot of restrictions to where you can pet them. So, it's not like you can grab the tiger cub and hold him like a puppy. and there is no way they didn't drug the F out of t...

re: Oil field layoffs are really hitting SLa - TexasTiger05
A lot of the young guys who had never been through a downturn were surprised the most. They were out partying and buying boats and ridiculously expensive trucks and things along those lines during the boom, instead of saving any of it.
Like someone said before- it's cyclical. T...
