I just booked a Commander's lunch. But have to bring the kids.

The oldest has wanted a "fancy dinner in a dress" for a while now.
I have always wanted to try Antoine's or Galatoire's. Both have openings for lunch.

Commander's and Cafe Adelaide (owned by commander's part of family) both have awesome deals and 25cent drinks.

The Commanders family of restaurants are going all out this week. The menu at The Pelican Club looks pretty damn solid for $35 also. I plan to check out at least a couple and report back.

Get the seafood martini. If they're offering the coconut cream pie, get it. It's outstanding.

Awesome! I want a full report tomorrow. Have you been before? The crab gnocchi is not to be missed. It's expensive, but you have to do it.

I will try the seafood martini, thanks for the suggestion. Don't see the coconut cream pie on the menu, but I wouldn't order it anyway. Not a fan of coconut.

I'd be leary of Adelaide. I've only been twice but was severaly disappointed both times.

I've heard similar about Café Adelaide. I can't think of one single person that's told me it's great.

I have Commander's booked for Friday lunch. I work 1/2 a day on Fridays and want to drink, so the 25 cent martinis sold me. But again, I HIGHLY recommend Criollo, as I just went for their Coolinary offering and it was fantastic. For Coolinary they offered 2 courses for $20 and it was a lot of food. For RW, they're offering 3 courses for $20!

I have Apolline booked for Saturday dinner. I'm not thrilled with the Apolline RW menu, so I'll likely just order off of the regular menu. I'm going with a group.

It is inconsistent. When I went in July, the food was the best it has ever been in my experience.

It's okay I guess, but I'd never make a special effort to eat there. Maybe if it was in another city, say Shreveport, B.R., Jackson, Little Rock, etc., it would be in the upper echelon. Here, not so much.

Going to Lunch thursday at the place in Hotel Monteleone.

Never even heard of it, Crillo.

Saw it mentioned here so that's cool.
going with some friends.

So that's three places this week. Excited, especially with the prices.
