re: Joe Patti's Seafood must haves? - EMILIO
Same here. It's become a fixture in our plans.
And usually, we are staying in Orange Beach. It's well worth the extra hour or so there and back. I say it every year, THERE IS NO REASON THAT NOLA DOES NOT HAVE A PLACE EXACTLY LIKE THIS. Somewhere?? Either on the Westbank in Westwego...

I make at least one or two annual trips there. We usually head there on the first day of the beach trip, load up, and e...

re: So Nola has a beer and oyster festival this wknd - EMILIO
Yeah it is. I think they are a relatively new fest so most of the prime fest times are already taken. The old school mentality of no raw oysters in the summer needs to go away though. Wildlife & Fisheries and the FDA are all over our oysters, constantly testing and regulating. As long at the restaur...

re: Foods for a 1-2 year old - EMILIO
I have a little Coonass baby (17 mos). I make her eggs and boudin every Saturday. She demolishes gumbo and jambalaya. She also kills any seafood that we cook. It's been great. Daily though, she eats some of what we eat at dinner time or we will make some simple stuff for her (grilled cheese or meat...

re: Yuengling headed to Louisiana - EMILIO
"Beer guys"? You mean liquor stores, right?
No, I mean on-premise beer salesmen. Also, not sure I know anyone that plans to drink Yuengling bc it has a funny/cool sounding name. I'd also say that at the price point and category that YL is in, it's a solid beer. It wont be marke...
