Nothing against Drago's but this typical BR....always need a good place from somewhere else.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. Raw oysters on a Chinese buffet are much different from raw oysters at Indian Pass Raw Bar. Not all oysters taste the same. And as far as chargrilled oysters go, I've eaten some really lousy ones (Beausoleil, for example). Drago's does them really well. They're not all the same.

Uhh maybe because they see aome serious potential in a booming metropolitan area with record breaking investment coming from companies outside of the region. If you're a well run, established restaurant, it only makes logical sense to try your hand in a nearby city with a ~4% growth rate per year.

Thanks, it's already been pointed out that they have the same owners. Does that somehow change the fact that one is a little nicer than the other and, in my opinion, has a higher quality than the other? For whatever reason that may be. None of this was meant as a slight towards the Chimes, by the way.

Br hate isn't generally "BR" people.
It's usually some combination of:
People who grew up in the suburbs (Shenandoah, LP, AP, St. George, ect)
People from New Orleans who went to LSU and bitched about how much BR sucked while playing "Call of Duty" in their dorm room every night
People who hate their parents (who live in BR)
canines
people who grew up in neighborhoods now overrun by hoodlums
people who left BR before 2009 and haven't been back in the city (outside of maybe an LSU game) since
people who hate on whatever the "cool" thing is on the internet (i.e. haters of Nickelback, Nick Cage, Affliction, Creed, cargo shorts, jorts, yeti stickers, ect)
People who can't believe that a small-mid-sized southern city has less dining options and nightlife than an international tourist attraction city 3 times its size an hour and a half down the road.
In my opinion, most complaints outside of the following are pretty much bunk:
shite traffic
terrible public schools
hilariously stupid metro-council
BRPD
crime
lack of variety of bars for the 18-21 crowd
inferior po'boys
inferior jambalaya
strip malls
suburbs suck
(insert racist remark here)
