re: Credit Card Rewards and Points Discussion - LSUAfro
Here's an interesting thought for those with the BA companion pass. Fly from New York to London to Singapore to Sydney for 210k Avios and $1700 in business class for 2 seats. For those with the time, like to fly and make some fun stop overs, it's a pretty good deal for the amount of miles flow...
Any wine drinkers have an Amex, they have a pretty good deal right now, spend $50 online at Martha Stewart Wine and get $40 back. Just bought 3 decent bottles of wine for $10. Probably never go to that site again, but can't pass up cheap wine.
I hopped on this thanks to you. ...
We're flying Iberia next year. JFK to Madrid. 3-5 days in Madrid and then on to Italy for 2-3 weeks.
I flew their "new" business class product from MIA-MAD last summer on Avios. It was a nice seat, mediocre soft product, but for the value it was a great deal. They pretty much routine...
Ya, I've messed with CX and 2x biz looks pretty easy but 1st looks like a PITA.
I've found a few here and there and very well could end up on JAL from TYO to ORD or something, but the goal is to try CX.
Also, with how cheap economy class is to anywhere on the planet, the...
Something similar happens with us. Let's be honest, it is kind of a PITA, but it is funny and frustrating when my wife cuts me off. "I bought such and such" "Did you check..." "YES!" "Oh ok"
 Yep. Nice haul. House renovations are truly one of the most over loo...

re: Credit Card Rewards and Points Discussion - LSUAfro
I also disobeyed a cardinal rule in the points game and speculatively hopped on the 40% Amex transfer bonus and turned 73k Amex MR points in to 103k Avios. I'm going to use them for a first class from HKG to LAX on CX. 119k Miles off peak. So essentially almost getting one first class one way award ...

Meril in NOLA - LSUAfro
I went the other night. I really just went to check the place out and only got a couple things. Jerk chicken thighs and deviled eggs. Chicken was good ....eggs so so. But the menu was huge with small plates at what appeared to be reasonable prices. Haven't really seen much on the board, but when I ...
I believe he was referring to how an online MBA is looked at from others, not necessarily the pros/cons of online vs in person.
Yep, but I think both their points were valid. There is no difference on the resume from a brick and mortar on the resume even when done online. The networ...

re: To get a CPA or to not? - LSUAfro
Masters in accounting provides little value once you have your CPA. I never recommend it. If you want to stay in accounting, the CPA will propel your career much faster in early stages. Smart folks without a CPA can definitely succeed in the industry without it, but the doors don't open quit...
632627
Thanks. Yep. Don't think we have a high need of coverage for our consulting side due to the nature of it being highly analytical driven and based on industry assumptions and subjective in nature, but still the possibility of E&O due to human error. But the practice will sti...
I have $30,000 worth of E&O along with a $25,000 Bond. It runs from July of 2016 through 2021. I paid a one-time premium of $190.00 to Travellers. Based on the OP you'll need more obviously. But I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability in my case
That's not bad at all....
The EOB literally says "15 minute standard visit".
I can see that. It's likely just a layman's term that is coded behind the scenes as a "99203" as a previous poster mentioned. I could be wrong. That was just not my experience auditing health care groups. ...
