Meril in NOLA - LSUAfro
I went the other night. I really just went to check the place out and only got a couple things. Jerk chicken thighs and deviled eggs. Chicken was good ....eggs so so. But the menu was huge with small plates at what appeared to be reasonable prices. Haven't really seen much on the board, but when I ...
I believe he was referring to how an online MBA is looked at from others, not necessarily the pros/cons of online vs in person.
Yep, but I think both their points were valid. There is no difference on the resume from a brick and mortar on the resume even when done online. The networ...

re: To get a CPA or to not? - LSUAfro
Masters in accounting provides little value once you have your CPA. I never recommend it. If you want to stay in accounting, the CPA will propel your career much faster in early stages. Smart folks without a CPA can definitely succeed in the industry without it, but the doors don't open quit...

re: E&O insurance costs - LSUAfro
632627
Thanks. Yep. Don't think we have a high need of coverage for our consulting side due to the nature of it being highly analytical driven and based on industry assumptions and subjective in nature, but still the possibility of E&O due to human error. But the practice will sti...
There is no way Chase is giving retention offers on the CSR, right?
That's tough. With their recent report about the card being unprofitable, might not be much of one if any at all....
I have $30,000 worth of E&O along with a $25,000 Bond. It runs from July of 2016 through 2021. I paid a one-time premium of $190.00 to Travellers. Based on the OP you'll need more obviously. But I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability in my case
That's not bad at all....

The answers are always Changing. I know the fkyertalk specific cards usually give good data points. I the the CSR retention reps are allowed to offer certain retention plans based on the card and the value of the business you give them by spend. I've spent tens of thousands of legitimate dollar...

re: I hate our healthcare system and PAs/NPs - LSUAfro
The EOB literally says "15 minute standard visit".
I can see that. It's likely just a layman's term that is coded behind the scenes as a "99203" as a previous poster mentioned. I could be wrong. That was just not my experience auditing health care groups. ...
I thought I addressed that in a subsequent post. IME, all that overhead is duplicated over and over again by private offices that can be idle a good portion of the week. It's so wasteful
Can't disagree with you. But it's a catch 22, if you don't have the capacity to handle patien...
He billed my insurance for a standard 15 min offfice visit. Which was correct.
Medical billing isn't billed by time in those office visit settings. It's billed by the reason for visit. It's coded according to the acuity level of the patient. Different insurance plans have dif...

re: I hate our healthcare system and PAs/NPs - LSUAfro
$150 for an office visit to a specialist isn't unreasonable at all. Your gross charges were probably greater than $300. Insurance contract probably got your bill down to $150. It's a crappy system for all the parties except the insurance companiew now that most of us are on high deductible plans...
It is only permissible if it is specifically stated in an employee handbook that PTO is a gift, or gratuity, and thus not a benefit.
I guess that's my hang up. It seems like the language in my non legal mind is ambiguous. It seems like it should always be a benefit. Anyways...it...

re: Where can I buy fresh Tuna? - LSUAfro
JasonL is the resident expert on retail tuna. The problem locally even in BR is that nobody sells "fresh never frozen" outside of whole foods normally that I'm aware of. I think Maxwell's does occasionally. The grading process is not my expertise either. Whole foods usually charges about $25/lb I be...
