Per SEC Sports: NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Vanderbilt Athletics) — Vanderbilt’s 2025 campaign ended Sunday at Hawkins Field with a 5-4 loss to Wright State in the NCAA Tournament Nashville Regional.
Trailing by four entering the top of the ninth, Vanderbilt scored three runs and had the tying run on third but was unable to send the game to the bottom of the ninth.
The ninth-inning rally started with leadoff walk by Brodie Johnston. Colin Barczi worked a one-out walk and Jonathan Vastine loaded the bases with the third walk of the frame.
With two outs, Mike Mancini lined a two-run single to center, cutting Wright State’s lead to 5-3.
