After one basketballloss, he told seven different guys they would start the next game! We knew we had a chance when we start 7 on 5!!
But when Sylvester McKinney showed up at OPHS, we figured yall were on steroids cause coaching went out he window!????
Yeah. We always said it was the culture. Coach Watson and others set the tone for you guys.
And a super nice guy. So was his dad.

I was from Swartz, not T&C, met all these guys from summer baseball. Colorful characters to say the least.
Another T&C dude that threw heat was Jeff Adams.
Can still see that big SoB on the mound and his windup! Nolan Ryan had nothing on Stites as a 12 year old!
John, Jeff's little brother. I think Kim(sister) was between them
he was a year older than me in three different leagues. my best years were the year he moved up to the next league
He was a different level athlete from 12-16. I lived in fear of that dude.
Frank ran their team like Cobra Kai!

Sweep the leg
In Dixie League, he told Gannaway(our pitcher) that he was gonna hit two home runs off him that night. He did. Stites hits a solo and a two run shot to beat us 3-2. Gannaway was suicidal after the game
Frank went over to our asst coach, Billy Daniels, and screamed "How is the kid supposed to learn how to hit?"

Daniels spit out some Beechnut and says "Batting practice."
Stites was a beast. He was the meanest 10 year old kid I have ever seen. We beat him in little league because we earned him every time he came up. I was the catcher so I had a front row seat to his dad, Franklin, losing his mind over it.
