I would have never hired the unprofessional prick. I've hated that SOB since game 1.

Money talks alright. But with TV contracts being what they are, everyone seems to have plenty of it. Les's salary is barely above the SEC average. You gonna give Saban, Harbaugh, or Meyer money to someone not named Saban, Harbaugh,or Meyer? Because unless you're willing to do that then money won't be what allows you to pull another BCS coach away from their current program. So, everyone can just drop the money BS.

Posted by mboromaroon on 11/22/15 at 2:41 pm to AUbused
@AUbused, here's a dose of reality: that school that can't pull in elite talent or compete for championships is a last second fingertip catch away from beating Auburn 4 years in a row. How's that elite talent working out for you, dickhead?
re: Nick Saban would've been a Super Bowl Coach too, had he stayed in Miami

Yes, we'll all assume with you that Saban would have been a Super Bowl regular while playing in the same division as New England.

I'm pretty sure Oregon took a knee against Fla St. I thought OSU scoring was classless as hell. If anyone but Herb was announcing it would have been pointed out.

Pretty sure Saban had a month against Utah, Oklahoma, and Ohio St. Bama benefited from playing an injured Texas QB, a re-match against an offensively toothless tiger, and an overrated Notre Dame. Oregon would have more fun against Bama than Jerry Sandusky would have on a boy scout camping trip.
re: Patriots stealing plays from Alabama
Posted by mboromaroon on 1/12/15 at 11:05 am to GIbson05
I have film of Belichick inhaling and exhaling on the side lines -- obviously an idea he got from Alabama.
Bama has all 4 and 5 star players going against teams playing mostly 2 to 4-star. NFL teams don't enjoy the same talent advantage. If Saban was half the coach Belichick is then you'd have more legitimate NCs to go along with the made up ones you refer to on walmart t-shirts.

No, it's pretty much Alabama. They have a complete lack of humility. The majority are Walmart bandwagon fans who only care about the winning football teams and could care less about the school. Their teams have more talent on the field year in and year out, with... ahem, the best coach, but still feel compelled to falsify their NC resume to make themselves feel good. All the while they insult other fans who more likely actually went to the schools they support.
If Bama had played the Taliban, I would have been hoping for beheadings.

Posted by mboromaroon on 1/2/15 at 11:26 am to SBC
I've said it before and I'll say it again:
When Saban coaches against teams with comparable talent he is not very good. His NFL career shows it and his college career shows it.

Well you can't deduce anything about our program from that. We've beaten Bama multiple times in the past with really crappy teams -- and our coach got fired within a year or so. As for Ole Miss, we've held our own, and a little of theirs over the past few years. But, do you really want to talk about Ole Miss, you gutless BamaPieceOfShit?

No, I'd say that State had the better season according to having 2 losses vs. Ole Miss's 3 losses.
State had 2 losses to top 10 teams. None of Ole Miss's 3 losses were to top 10 teams. This is not a perspective issue, dickhead.

Mississippi State sure as hell travels better than Missouri (actually relative to size of home stadium, State travels better than anyone in the conference). Worry about your Zoo of a state.
re: Should the SEC reconsider bowl money payouts?
Posted by mboromaroon on 12/22/14 at 9:54 am to GIbson05
I agree that a larger percentage of the revenue for each bowl game should go to the participant. In other words, from your example, OM, Bama, and State should get at least 33% of the payout with the other 2/3 going to the conference. There should be a little more financial reward for each particpating team.

Are you kidding? The crappiest most inept offense in the SEC does this:
2 plays 47 yards TD
4 plays 84 yards TD
1 play 91 yards TD
2 plays 72 yards TD

9 Plays 294 yards 4 TDs!!
And you don't think his arse belongs under the bus?

Well, it's a DC job in the SEC and doesn't appear to be more money or more job security.
So... looks pretty darn lateral to me.
Now, when "tradition" results in a higher salary and more POSITIVE notoriety then I'll agree that it's a step up. Til then, it's lateral at best.

Well, we know your first link (licensing revenue) is garbage, because it doesn't even have Kentucky listed in the top 75, but does have Texas State, UL Lafayette, and Montana State listed, along with Delaware etc.

Well, I'm not so sure that's a bad thing for State. Gave up more big plays than any defense I can remember... even more than Ron Cooper.
Doesn't matter if redzone is tough if the other team can score at will from mid field.
Defense didn't make plays when they had to against Bama, and completely failed to show up against OM.
Here's OM's touchdowns in the Egg Bowl:
2 plays 47 yards TD
4 plays 84 yards TD
1 play 91 yards TD
2 plays 72 yards TD
---------------------
9 Plays 294 yards 4 TDs!!
That's a fireable offense in my book.

Sending your own school a threat letter...
Posted by mboromaroon on 11/28/14 at 2:02 pm
To frame your rival is desperation at a clinical level.
No State fan would ever refer to Ole Miss' s campus as beautiful, and certainly wouldn't do it in a threat letter.
Holy cow college framing, batman! Those bear fans are sadly pathetic.
I hope the FBI traces that letter to the grove dwellers that wrote it. Give those prix another reason to be humiliated.

re: My 8 team playoff proposal
Posted by mboromaroon on 11/25/14 at 12:15 pm to Dr Van Nostrand
Miss State's one loss is better than anyone else's. You can't boot Miss State just because the one loss came from a playoff team. Oregon's loss came to a non-playoff team and at home. Baylor also lost to a non playoff team. They're to be rewarded for that? Hell, Bama lost to a team that will have either 3 or 4 losses!
The reasoning for leaving State out is crap. "You're out because you lost to Bama". Well Oregon lost to Arizona, Baylor lost to West Virginia, and Bama lost to Ole Miss. How can you say those losses are OK while saying that Miss State's loss is inforgivable? So, Bama being better than Arizona and West Virginia hurts State's resume'? Fricked up system.

Whattafrick you done that a 50 year old might remember??? Ole Miss is THE biggest done nothings in the SEC. You're the biggest modern day losers in the conference. PERIOD.

Only problem with your "playoff" is that Fla St. and Bama are the two shittiest teams of the 8.
Both would lose first game in your bracket and both will lose first game in the pending playoff unless they play one another.
Bama is the shittiest #1 team there has ever been in late November. Not a flame.... they suckdick.
