re: Contractors Referrals

Thanks Butch, I've heard much of the same with J&R and I'll be reaching out to them.
Shawn, This isn't the OT. If you had RTFQ, your reading comprehension would have let you understand that I was asking about any previous experience with those companies. Location didn't matter to me because they are already in my area. However, since you asked. I live in Baton Rouge. Have a blessed day.

Contractors Referrals
Posted by DeepsouthC17 on 6/3/22 at 9:42 am
I'm in the early stages to do some renovations to my home and I received referrals for the following contractors. I wanted to ask the board if y'all had any previous experience with them, good or bad. Thank you in advance.
They are in no particular order.
J & R Renovators, LLC
Jackson Construction Co.
Capital Area Construction, LLC
Spencer Contracting, LLC

I have an Ecobee and it’s pretty good. Also LA Entergy use to give a crazy good rebate for them, it would be worth to check and see if that’s still an option.
Seamless Gutter Job
Posted by DeepsouthC17 on 7/26/21 at 9:40 am
Good Morning H&G, I’ve got a small gutter job for my home and I’m trying to get a wag on the price per linear foot in the Baton Rouge area. Also if anyone knows of a good gutter company for the area and worth the recommendation, I’d greatly appreciate it. Cheers.

re: Natural Gas for Crawfish Boils Questions
Posted by DeepsouthC17 on 1/25/21 at 3:21 pm to fatboydave
What is special about a natural gas hose (besides the quick connect/disconnect)? Could I just use a heavy duty 3/4” water hose and put the proper connections to connect to the boiler and natural gas line?

That’s good to hear. The line is to an old Generator. Thanks.
Natural Gas for Crawfish Boils Questions
Posted by DeepsouthC17 on 1/24/21 at 9:03 pm
Hopefully Home & Garden is the right board to answer my question concerning my set up for a natural gas jet boiler for crawfish season. I have a 3/4” natural gas pipe to my backyard. I Cajun engineered a 32 Tip NG jet burner to a bayou classic base. My question is what size NG hose should I use? Should I keep it uniform or can I reduce it? I’ve seen affordable 3/8” hose or 3/4” at 12’ lengths. (the 3/4” price is substantially greater) Thanks in advance.

Home Renovation

I'm looking to do a home reno (nothing exterior) that would require moving or removing a load bearing wall. I wanted to ask this board if they had any good experience with any local architects and contractors that they would recommend. Thanks!

I appreciate the enthusiasm potent357; I am getting water out of the faucet from the Hot.

I just moved into this home, it wasn’t on the inspection report and had hot water during the walk thru. Currently I only have the hot water on and cold off with no results. This is baffling to me. I’m about to contact a plumber.

I checked the valve and it’s indeed on and the hot water is directly above the kitchen in the attic.
No Hot Water

Looking for any ideas as to why I'm not getting any hot water out of my Kitchen sink. I have hot water everywhere else in the house. :banghead:

re: Old Toyota Tundra/sequoia, timing belt.
Posted by DeepsouthC17 on 12/5/18 at 10:53 pm to bhtigerfan
I have a 2004 Tundra with 245,000 and driving like brand new. I've put nothing but routine tires, batteries, and fluids to keep it going. I still have the original timing belt and water pump (if it doesn't break leave it alone). The O-T can argue all day about this brand of truck or that brand. But it'll be the Toyota still driving after Nuclear Holocaust.
