In the Les Miles era, the most first downs in a game was 31 against Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl. We have 19 at the half.

Georgia fans were freaking out over what Ray Drew was saying a couple years back

I didn't know the story behind this so I went searching for his wikipedia page:

In an interview on October 22, 2013, Drew revealed that he is an ordained minister. He also stated that he would rather sack one Johnny Manziel-sized duck than ten duck-sized Johhny Manziels.

From Hallman's Wikipedia page:
quote:

From 2004 to 2007, he served as head coach at Muscle Shoals High School in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. His first season at Muscle Shoals resulted in a 3–7 record. At the conclusion of the 2007 regular season, the Muscle Shoals Trojans had compiled another dismal 4–6 record, their fourth straight losing season under Hallman. On January 14, 2008, the Muscle Shoals Board of Education accepted Hallman's resignation as head coach. He was replaced by Cordova High School's former head coach Scott Basden.

Ouch.
Now if only the Chargers would bring JJ in as the third QB on their roster...

The meltdown on here would be legendary

Giants fans in the audience. Draft in New York, so Giants and Jets fans always turn out in numbers
Awesome, thanks for all the info. I appreciate it.

I was wondering, are there any sections I should avoid when getting my tickets? Also, how's the parking situation and how early should I get to the stadium?

If anyone cares, it's the Orlando game.

I watch a lot of ESPN but I look at it like cable news:

It's not journalism, it's entertainment.
Holy shite, did Saban just smile?

Hilliard probably earned some playing time going forward with that run. He will be scripted into the game plan I would assume.

Imagine JJ, Copeland and Hilliard in the backfield on goal line.

That's just mean

"They do have as good a d-line as there is out there in the country," West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen said. "They've got eight or nine guys they can roll in there who all look the same to me."

"It's so..." Brockers said, pausing for a moment. "Refreshing."

Yes, LSU's defensive linemen find gameday refreshing. A glorious respite. An oasis.

Best line in the article.

I was thinking that, so I went ahead and did it.

Not the best thing ever but, for 20 min of work while slightly intoxicated, it ain't bad.

They are actually axes, which makes absolutely no sense since their mascot is a tree. Why would you put something on your helmet that kills your own mascot?

Stanford's mascot used to be based on a Native American thing. They changed it in the '70s
So, with Georgia losing to UCF today, do we officially put Richt on the hot seat?

Cam Newton has a 70% completion rate against the blitz. There's a reason he had less than 100 yards passing today.

Yeah, he was too busy running for 200 yds against the nickel package we stayed in all damn game.

Part of it was because we couldn't tackle worth a damn.

Honestly, I don't think any team could have stopped Cam Newton today running or passing.

Watch the game again. They had a lot of big plays on us. He should have made some kind of adjustment and tried to bring 8 or 9 in the box. FORCE THEM TO THROW!

Not saying I agree with guy, but Larry Coker has a BCS trophy so don't act as if there is no way to question Les.

Coker took a team which was on the verge of a National Championship in 2000 and won one the very next year in 2001. Les took a very good class of young players and coached them up to a National Championship in 3 years. I'm not saying Les is infallible, but there is a huge difference between Coker and the hat.

So as not to get too far off topic, I'm super excited about Coach O. I really can't think of any better coaching adjustment at LSU than replacing Malveto with Chavis and Orgeron.
