Anyone from Shreveport has probably heard the story, but a local attorney or doctor one was out fishing on the lake. Well, it started to rain and the friend got concerned and suggested they head on in. Well, the other guy said something to the effect that if it was his time to go, it was his time. So, he proceeded to stand up and yell "God take me now" just then a bolt of lightning struck him dead. True story. You can find it in Shreveport Times archives

Jermauria Rasco is primed to have a dominating season. We're certainly going to need him and the entire D to get back to dominance in order to win us games until the O gets off and running.
Shreveport Captains dominated Texas League in early to mid 90s and had the best record in all of minor league baseball at one point.
1. Josh freakin' Booty
2. Bert "Ruston Rifle" Jones
3. Y.A. Tittle
4. Jamarcus Russell
5. Tommy Hodson
Ryan Perrilloux could've should've would've been the greatest had he not been such a knucklehead.
Honorable Mention:
David Woodley
Rohan Davey
Matt Flynn
Alan Risher
I remember thinking same thing once I saw him at that skills competition senior yr. Again though, considering alternative I'd have preferred to see how he could have developed as a passer
Pretty sure we all would have loved to have seen it considering alternative during his tenure here.
Article on top QB recruits from each state in SEC since 2008 and where/how they ended up.
And speaking of Peach Bowl, thank God Tahj is doing well but, I hope Whiney rots in prison for that and deciding he could play once Rohan came in for 2nd half lol
First team all SEC and people love to hate on this dude.Too bad ole General Axl will end up at USC or somewhere other than LSU.
Anyone else listen to Tony Taglavore on Wed. nights after Les Miles in Shreveport? Fairly entertaining especially the Wooden Spoon trivia question . One of my favorite parts of the season is my anual 25$ gift certificate :geauxtigers:
I think he's certainly earned the right to finish out contract at the very least. If they dont make a run next year then he's probably gone. I love me some Wash! Got to meet him when I took a tour of the ballpark before a game last year. He always goes through his exercise routine before every game walking the field and as we were in the dugout he comes in and fires up a post-workout smoke :pimp:
JC never played in 5A when they could have because they didn't want to play Evangel or West Monroe. They stayed in 4A and won several State championships.
Lots of drops that game including a TD that Tommy Banks bobbled to a uab fefender in the endzone. l also proclaimed i wasn't even going to TN game next week. Glad I changed my mind!
