 Thanks for the link. I'll definitely read it sometime this weekend as I procrastinate on some final papers.
I did read this which points out the differences between the true events and the movie:
*Spoilers?*

Saw it today. I went in skeptical because I'm not a Michael Bay fan. I really enjoyed it. It has a lot of morbid humor, which isn't for everyone. The Rock and Tony Shalhoub gave the two best performances, but the entire cast was strong. I thought it did a great job of showing every character as a mix of charming/hilarious/despicable.

Ros will not be passed off for Arya... That's just too stupid.
Oh, come on. The illiterates thread can't have a monopoly on stupid theories.
I saw the episode guide said Varys meets his better. I'm guessing it's Olenna based on the stills in the OP. I can't wait. Court intrigue has always been one of the show's strengths.

1.)About Sam the Slayer,I'm thinking they might do away with Coldhands and have Sam save Gilly.
2.)Also, I'm curious how they will split up Bran and Rickon. I don't think they will have Osha and Rickon disappear for a few seasons. Maybe they stay behind at the wall?
3.)Also what's the deal with Ros. Does anyone else think they might use her as a replacement for Jenye Poole and try to pass her off as Arya since she's from Winterfell? Maybe she's too old, but that may only reinforce the ridiculousness of the situation.
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I haven't waded through all the bitching in the previous episode threads. I thought it might be fun to speculate on how they handle the show vs. the books.

Oh well,
I've forgotten how much I hate following shows week by week. I would much rather marathon them like a 10-20 hour film.

Looking forward to joining this party. Read all the books and watched the first two seasons. Subscribed to HBO just for this. :nana:
I'm hoping we meet the Reeds in this episode. I want to see how they are portrayed.

There's your problem. Using the remake :casty:
Of course that Wonka was some sort of cheap Michael Jackson copycat.
Gene Wilder's Wonka was a boss. Sure his labor practices wouldn't fly today, but it was the early '70s. They hadn't even banned abestos yet.

Any word on where they plan to put the new stadium? I hope they don't do like Jerryworld and place it out in the suburbs. Stadiums work best when they draw people downtown.

Good for Chad. One of my all time favorite Tigers. I can't imagine ever fully recovering from the injuries he suffered much less recovering fully enough to play at the NFL level.
