SOULJA BOY - YAHHH!

pretty much everything soulja boy released is abysmal
I was thinking about this last night. Every one of their songs from the first 4 albums is legendary.

I don't believe anyone else can say that.

Free Mother Hips Album, Anyone?

Posted by Lucas Jackson on 1/9/13 at 2:05 pm
If you are not a fan/familiar, the Mother Hips are giving a free download of their debut album, Back to the Grotto (1991).

I personally don't care for their later stuff, but their debut is ABSOLUTELY amazing. Very grunge-blues sounding, with great vocals and drums.

My personal favorites are Turtle Bones and Figure 11.

Enjoy
Beatles
Bob Dylan (I'm a Neil Young guy)
Phish (I love WP/GD, too)
Wilco
Black Keys (I know who Junior Kimbrough is)
DMB (cannot stand them)

Forgot about Tim Dog:

All you suckers that rif on the West Coast
I'll dis and spray your arse like a roach
Ya think you're cool wit your curls and your shades
I'll roll thick and you'll be yelling raid
One hard brother that lives in New York
Where brothers are hard and we don't have to talk
Shut your mouth before we come out stomping
Hey, yo Eazy
frick Compton
My daddy dead. Pussy Juice. Yung Money.

Slow Century

Shows are average, but the footage is great if you are a fan. Not much on Pavement on their shows in the 90's.
I still try and imagine it's Layne singning, but these guys are still legit. They manage to keep the sound of the early 90's.
Blatant Doom Trip - Guided By Voices
Interzone - Joy Division
Raft - Pavement
Russell Wilson is a great quarterback. But he couldn't make it in the Major Leagues.

Every baseball player could play NFL. Not vice versa.

mp3 Youtube converter...Legality?

Posted by Lucas Jackson on 6/25/12 at 2:08 pm
I have seen more people use these lately. I am pretty sure it is against the youtube terms of service but 1) you would never have to agree to those terms because all you need to do is copy the url,and 2)youtube is not associated with the converter sites. It shouldn't be illegal to download a video since you can upload a video, and not all the videos are 'owned' by a record label, etc.

What say music lovers?

that was the first one I ever heard from them. been a fan ever since.

Is anybody planning on going? Not sure if locals will ever have another chance to see the classic lineup again. You know it will be one hell of a show.
