Les,

I thank you for all you did for LSU. I was a student from 2004-2008 and I'll never forget those games. I wish you well in the future and I thank you again for all your hard work.

PenFed Rewards - Devaulation

Posted by Miles4Heisman on 9/2/13 at 10:17 pm
Just checked on my points and saw that the cash rewards have been devalued. Currently at

$50 - 5900 points
$100 - 11800 points
$250 - 29500 points
$500 - 58900 points

I've also heard they will be lowering their rewards points from 5/3/1 to 3/2/1. Anyone heard anything similar?

Pretty depressing to say the least.

Another Surprise List . . .

Greivis Vasquez

Even though Vasquez started all 66 games for the Hornets last year in his second season, it was difficult to know just what to make of him. He was a shot-creating specialist who couldn’t shoot all that well. He created good looks for teammates around the rim, but wasn’t quick enough to get there himself consistently. At worst, he looked the part of a competent offensive curator, and yet it would be a shame to pigeonhole him so early in his career. The only way to know for sure was to see Vasquez in different contexts and with different kinds of players.

As it turns out, he makes for a pretty remarkable high-usage ball-handler, capable of buoying a weird collection of players to a league-average mark in scoring efficiency. It’s still tough to say whether he’s effective enough to eventually lead a top-five or top-10 offense with such a ball-dominant style. But for the moment he’s using some clever moves off the dribble to handle the bulk of the ball-handling for a team short on supplementary creators. He’s exactly what the Hornets need right now and has unexpectedly emerged as the No. 3 assist man in the league with 9.1 per game.
To the OP,

Yes, Penfed gives you 5% on Sam's Club gas.

I use Schwab (and am very pleased btw) but compile my own numbers. Unless you slice and dice your own measurements then you probably don't have a good understanding of how you're doing.

Do you just add the numbers to an excel file or is there a more sophisticated/easier way to do it?
Anyone else have Schwab? What is the easiest way to compile this information? I know how to check it on a day to day level but how can you check it YTD or from certain days?

This.

Anyone know when I get a real job I'll be able to get this?

I know Will Cover said you have to send in 2 years of tax returns.

I got the card without sending in a year of tax returns. I did have to post my salary (obviously) but there was no other verification past that.

Credit Score around 730 or so (I've only seen Credit Karma)

Also, I know they will try their best to get you to do the "Platinum Rewards" as opposed to the "Cash Rewards." It's not that bad though because they still offer 100 points as $1.00 as a gift card. They just started switching people over so who knows if it will stay at that rate, but so far so good.

Rep. Joe Harrison, R-Napoleonville, said that Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey recently told the New Jersey Nets that the state cannot afford a subsidy for the team.
"If Chris Christie can do that, then Mr. Benson can refinance or get another loan" to buy the Hornets, Harrison said.

Here is how Houma-Thiobopdaux lawmakers voted on House Bill 1072. A “for” vote is in favor of the tax break:

For: None.

Against: Lenar Whitney, R-Houma; Joe Harrison, R-Napoleonville; Dee Richard, a Thibodaux independent.

Absent: Gordon Dove, R-Houma; Truck Gisclair, D-Larose.

“We are robbing pension funds. We are bleeding our schools. We are closing clinics and hospitals. We are abandoning roads in our rural areas. We have trouble getting clean drinking water to our residents. But we keep paying for sports teams,” said state Rep. Sam Jones, D-Franklin.

I couldn't find a list of the entire vote, but you get the picture.
I closed out a checking account from CapOne in August by going to a branch and having it closed out. It took 5 minutes.

Why wouldn't you be able to?
