The reverse question would be stood one to ask Texas fans!
How come the Long Horns have been so mediocre lately, when they constantly have top 3 classes?
The answer to your original question will be obvious once you answer my question.

WOW!
Since Collins' girlfriend is on scholarship at Alabama (and therefore an agent of the university)wouldn't her contacting of recruits be a violation of NCAA rules?
Frankly, I doubt seriously that Alabama would want the girl friend of a recruit involved in any way, shape, or manner.
Sounds like B(as in B) S(as in S) to me!

ND has made a lot of poor coaching choices in the past and Kelly is just another one.
He loves running QBs, which was surely a big factor in the Kiel sweepstakes.
Yelling and cursing out players on national T V for failing to work miracles with his lousy game schemes will eventually create a recruiting problem.....if it already hasn't.

Folks,
I don't know who is posting all the evaluations of the value of an LSU education, but, I'd say they have little knowledge of the real world. They may be hoping that a Notre Dame degree gets them something for free---but here's a news flash---nothing is free---you have to earn it.
Me, my family and many friends are all LSU graduates and here's a short list of accomplishments:
(1) LSU B.S. + Harvard Law Degree
(2) LSU BS/MS/Ph.D--40 year Director of R&D at one of the largest food companies in the world.Played baseball at L.S.U.
(3) LSU B.S./M.D.
(4) LSU B.S./M.S./Ph.D.--42 year USDA research scientist--member of USDA Researcher's Hall of Fame.
(6) LSU B.S.---played on LSU golf team. Currently Director of Golf and Food Operations at a highly acclaimed golf and ski resort.
My only relative who attended Notre Dame:
(6) Notre Dame B.S.--working as salesman.
The only Notre Dame graduate I've met in my work life was an Engineer with a B.S. degree, who was terminated in a company down sizing. Not thought to be productive enough to retain.
On the subject of football---Gunner Kiel must be very happy that he made the correct football decision in choosing LSU. watching tonight's bowl game between Notre Dame and Florida State, it's a very poor game with no play makers anywhere on the field--for either team. Both these programs are so far inferior to LSU right now, I'm sure neither wants to play LSU for the foreseeable future. Neither is a top 20 team.
Geaux Tigers!
