You never pass on an "Andrew Luck" type of player... If he wants to come to your school, you make room!

Looks a lot better now. He loved the game day atmosphere for the ARK game, and his parents even paid for their own tickets so they could join him as well.

Gunner Kiel Back on LSU Campus Today!
Posted by LesGeauxxxx on 11/29/11 at 9:49 am
I just read an article that confirms this, I would link it but it is from a private site but...This has to be a great sign for the fighting tigers.
It basically says that Kiel wants to be around for the week of preparation for the SECCG.
He wants to see how we operate as a football program leading up to a big game...!!!

I was thinking the same thing. If OSU had the highest computer score than that would have to play in the mind of the voters... Granted, I hope LSU destroys the Dawgs, but it's definitely food for thought

Strength of schedule...Alabama hasn't had many signature wins over quality opponents, so if LSU lost wouldn't it also negatively affect Alabama's SOS?>
and by how much?

Ask any pole in America who are the top 5 coaches in NCAA football and I promise you, every one of them will have "The Hat" eating grass and kickin arse!
New style of coaching...Les Miles
Posted by LesGeauxxxx on 11/25/11 at 11:10 pm
Critics do not phase him, pressure doesn't bother him and the spotlight doesn't frighten him...
During Les Miles' tenure at LSU he has been able to transcend the way traditional football is played. He still utilizes all of the bases: being sound in all three phases of the game, win the turnover battle and to play a complete game for 60 minutes.
However: what separates him is this... He does not
glamorize any position including the quarterback. The term
"starter" only means that you will get the first snap~and that is
all that is guaranteed .... and most importantly, he is willing to
give young and hungry freshman and sophomores the
opportunity to prove their worth at any given time.
The #1 advantage that LSU holds over any school in the nation is our depth. We wear teams down because we can go atleast three deep at every position, and that is simply too much for any opponent to overcome.
Les Miles has created a masterful way to utilize his top players, while keeping them fresh AND utilizing young talent all at the same time. He is called the "Mad Hatter' for a reason, but from here on out... He should be known as "the best coach in college football"!!
12-0 to the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP WE GO!!!

Why wouldn't Gunner take an official?
Posted by LesGeauxxxx on 11/23/11 at 12:49 pm
Can someone please explain to me the difference between an official and an unofficial visit?
And if the official visit is so LSU can wine n dine you and your family, show you the facilites, Baton Rouge, etc. then why wouldn't recruits like Gunner only come to view the game and not be on an official?

You have to believe that if it is a muddy field, our depth alone would cause tremendous problems for Arky simply due to stamina. I played football for many years, and nothing sucks more than picking wet, muddy cleats up 100's of times over the coarse of a game.
If the conditions are nice and stable... we still dominate the Pigs, but then there would be no excuses.

It was pretty nasty weather yesterday. Does anyone know how the field was affected?
If it causes for a muddy game, who do you think will benefit?

Recruits for LSU/Arkansas
Posted by LesGeauxxxx on 11/22/11 at 12:25 am
This is going to be yet another extremely huge, high profile game for our fighting tigers...and in all honesty this is going to be the best game in Tiger Stadium that we've had all year (even despite the fact that it's not a night game) that will allow us to showcase our premier fanbase and game day atmosphere. So with that being said, I see no reason why LSU can't have just as many top recruits as there was for LSU/Bama~
So does the list of recruits who are visiting LSU this weekend come close to that from The Game of the Century?
Long live the LSU FIGHTING TIGERS!

Tim Tebow has over came every obstacle that has been put in front of him. So whether or not he has an excellent NFL career or not...This guy deserves the utmost respect.

Tim Tebow is America! Hard Work and perseverance. Good for him

My generalizations and exaggerations were to make a point. I believe they call that a hyperbole.
It's just depressing when every other heading is something that is a negative opinion.
I understand that expressing your views is exactly what a rant is designed to do, but when you are 10-0 and hopefully on your way to a National Championship, one would just hope for a few less of those negatigers to come out...

It is your right as an individual to choose whether or not you support certain actions (the bar fight, smoking synthetic pot) I completely understand why everyone could be upset with that.
What I am saying is: regardless of the mistakes that have been made, we should still support the team as a whole. Regardless of the decisions made by the coaching staff (playing time) we should still support the coaching staff as a whole. And regardless if someone has made a mistake (bar fight, smoking synthetic pot), once they have completed their punishments, we should welcome them back with open arms.
All in all, I guess I'm just an extremely proud fan that tries to show as much support as possible. If bleeding purple and gold is my crime, then lock me up because LSU is the bees knees.

With all three of these still in contention for that surprise commitment that we all long for...who do we realistically have the best shot to get?

Personal opinions will always overshadow reality because they are subjective. What I am trying to say is: regardless of the situation, good or bad, we should not allow our personal preferences to get in the way of the bigger picture.
And that is Going to the Ship!!

The Penn State, Ohio State, Miami and USC issues could have happened to any school. No school can 100% control the actions of their players, coaches or administrators.
But it is up to those fan bases to still support their team. Am I wrong in saying that? I don't think so :usa:
