Restaurants in Gulf Shores
Posted by acorn on 6/3/09 at 9:38 pm
Going to Gulf Shores / Orange Beach next weekend for the first time. Anyone have any good restaurant suggestions? Nothing fancy, just want a good beach restaurant with a nice view, good seafood and cocktails. Thanks!

Maybe this should be another topic...but, why doesn't Baton Rouge have a upscale, chef driven restaurant...I know there are a few places that chip to the green, but no one really cutting edge?
Totally agree. Of course, I'm new to town so maybe there are places that I'm not aware of. I plan on trying Stroube's Chophouse soon...it seems a little more along the lines of the upscale, chef driven restaurant.

I've also been toying with the idea of taking my SO to New Orleans instead of BR. Maybe August, Stella, Cobalt, MiLa, La Provencal, etc. suggestions?
Went to Stella in New Orleans in April. It was great...I highly recommend the Scallops and also the Duck 5 Ways. We've been trying to get into August every trip down to NO and never can.
