re: What’s up with the windshield wiper condom they put on the back of SUVs?

I think they're so the machine brushes don't get caught on them and either pull your wiper or pull the brushes out. Avoid's damage to your car and/or the machine's equipment. (Avoiding damage liability) ;-)
At some wash's, the attendant's tape the wiper down to your back window. I hate the tape personally, but I understand the risk.

That's fine. Just realize you probably aren't going to land the man of your dreams and have your ideal family if you go this route. Ignore what feminism tries to tell you
Really not too interested in having my own children. I wouldn't mind a man with a child at this point. Or I'll just stick to cat lady status... meow.

Women in their 30s who are mad about the options they have for a long term relationship and marriage should have thought twice about that in their 20s prime years when they were rejecting commitment from men left and right because they wanted to "find themselves"
What about the one's who wanted to finish college, chase their career, not get knocked up, marry ole boy from the woods and be divorced by this point. Yes, I would admit that I passed off committments to subgrade men because I didn't want to be a statistic. A 30 something single mother struggling to make ends meet, with no time or mental capacity to go to school in hopes to get a decent job. I rather be a 30 something single women, with a good job, good credit, time and money to travel, and a house full of cats to go home to. Haha! Just Kidding, I only have 1 cat.

Problem is they want commitment from said high value men who they are physically attracted to. The problem is those high value men don't want anything to do with committing to her, because she is past her prime and these men can get younger pieces of arse instead
Maybe I need to expand my cap age limit...

Your picker is broken. You need to sit down and reevaluate what you're looking for and your selection process.
I have no doubt my picker is broken. I'm in my early 30's. The common trait amongst the men I date is emotional unavailable. Most of the men I find that are eligible (outside of the following:) are freshly divorced or so damaged they can't open their heart. However I respond to confidence and persistence. Pretty much anyone can make an impact on me if they are open-minded, charming, and have social wittiness… lol! There aren't too many men who make the effort IMO. Maybe I’m just plain ole ugly… But at least I’m charming! :-D

I only started reading a few posts to this thread and it disappoints me. Is this what beautiful, successful, amazing women have to go up against?! [I can be rather confident… ;-)]
I am on Bumble now only after spending three month membership on Match to have 25% success. I say 25% because I had 2 decent dates, 1 in which we connected really well and "dated" for about 6 weeks. I figured about this point I would ask about exclusivity, just to be turned down. "I'm not looking to jump into a relationship." I wasn’t going to invest in someone who didn’t have the same path as me. Although I beat myself up for being the 'common denominator' for failed dating life, however I still think I am pretty freaking awesome. Maybe I AM looking for love in all the wrong places. Nonetheless, I sure hope to not match up with any of the negative posters on here. I still try to keep an open mind with online dating, because I do see success with them. I can easily count five couples I know whom have met on online dating sites.
I would agree that first impressions are BIG! However even attractive men share the wrong pictures. And it’s an immediate turn off. On a personal preference, I think that shirtless mirror pictures give off that he is looking for more of a sexual encounter, and that’s not what I am after. Or that he’s full of himself and has to blast his “masculinity”. I like pictures with smiles and cute candid shots where I can see his face, body language, and sense of style. After that, a creative short profile bio is effective.
But who am I to critique men’s online dating profiles, because in the long run I am still single too!

re: Where Can I Donate a Bicycle in Baton Rouge

Salvation Army Christmas Angels has a tree in the Mall of Louisiana and usually you can go pick a name off the tree. The names have what the kid wants attached. Go find one that has bike listed. The organization usually has people in a kiosk that manages the tree at the mall. Look around the bottom floor, under the food court.

Work right behind it. Been there a few times. They opened for about 2 months and closed it to keep updating it.
I think they wanted to make some money first before putting in more amenities. The buffet consists of all types of rolls, sushi, and personal sized japanese dishes. There is also a self-service hibachi, where you pick all your ingredients on a plate, and give it to the hibachi chef to grill and he brings it to your table. I think it is very good, but it seems that the buffet is never fully stocked at any one time, because they are steadily making and replacing the food.
Lunch is 10-12, and dinner is 18-20.

Another popular dish I make is Fiesta Pinwheels.
2 blocks Cream Cheese- softened
2 packets Hidden Valley Fiesta Ranch
Black Olives- minced
Green Onions- Optional
LG Flour Tortillas
Salsa
Mix top ingredients and spread thickly onto tortilla leaving 1" from edge. Roll super tightly. Wrap each roll in foil and refridgerate AT LEAST 4 hours to firm well. Cut into 1" pieces right before serving. Serve with salsa.
The tighter the roll and the longer the fridge process, avoids smushed pieces. I cut them with a sharp knife and get perfect pieces every time. Makes for good compliments. ;-)

Super Easy Spinach Dip
Packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix
16oz. Sour Cream
Package of frozen spinach- well strained
Garlic powder or Tony's
Serve with Bugles. For LSU parties my friends ask me to bring this dish because it's not mayonaissey. And I make it with light or fat free sour cream for a healthier dip. But I usually double it.

I tried the Fort Collins Chocolate Stout the other day, and it was pretty good; different, but good. Not too syrupy as the other chocolate stouts. Baton Rouge Beer Co. (Miller products) distributes it.
The Boulder Brewery, another Colorado brewery, has Sweaty Betty Blonde, a light wheat which is good too.
Not sure which stores to find either. I'm going to check Calandro's myself.

Jambalaya pots?
Posted by dcs930 on 9/26/11 at 10:45 am
Looking for a local place that sells inexpensive seasoned/used Jambalaya pots (with the entire set-up), preferably a 7 gallon. Any suggestions?
I think I seen a place in antique village Denham Springs that sells them, does anyone know the validity?
