Some friends and I are looking to plan a trip to college station for the game. It would be our first road game trip in college and we really don't know how to go about planning it.

Anyone ever been to college station? Where should we stay/ what to do? TIA :geauxtigers:

Also, it's a real helmet because the equipment managers cut small holes on the the stripe as seen. And those are not the wrong colors. That's a legit helmet especially if 118 is written inside. Just a walk ons helmet though.

The LSU and tiger decal are all one sticker on the real helmets. The stickers in the back are not in the standard position. Also LSU does not use a purple chinstrap

That's awesome but I was really wanting it in portrait orientation. Also, what about adding some other key players (Mingo, Freak, Hilliard, Ford, Mett, Reid, TM7, OBJ, Shep, etc.). I say make it portrait oriented and shrink the players down some having them at the bottom, then at the top apply the LSU football image with the schedule large in the middle. Don't worry about white boxes for scores to be written, I probably won't write on. The background is cool and all but honestly, I'm not 100 percent on it. I do like the purple fading to white. Maybe make it a deeper purple. AND (last thing) I like the opposing teams logos beside the name like ESPN's website did.

Don't get me wrong, what you have is definitely cool. I was just wanting to add some suggestions.

We always have big parties for the away games and I think it would be cool to have a big schedule where I can write scores on it hanging in the living room. Yes this is somewhat of a frat house, minus the being in a fraternity part

Has anyone in this thread ever prepped a helmet for games? It sounds like there is a lot of people speaking from experience

Might just be a used authentic helmet with authentic LSU stickers applied to it. The chances of this being used in the game are not likely though, because the men who oversee equipment would not allow a helmet to leave the facility like that. They are so picky about sticker placement. The helmets are stripped after every game and then buffed/polished and new stickers are applied. They check every helmet and make you start over if not done correctly.

It is a replica. The stickers aren't applied with the precision that the real helmets require. The purple and with stripes should not have any visible yellow between them and should go under the tigers emblem near the face mask. Also they do have danger stickers but the left edge of the louisiana flag would be perfectly lined up with the inside of the D on danger.

Vol's New Place

Even though LSU op's center is top of the line, it looks like we will be getting our "outdated" facility renovated shortly after this place is opened. Oregon's operations building is ridiculous too
